Ye Wanting felt a sharp pain on her body.
She woke up in a daze.
A man was pressing on her, urgently trying to pull down the clothes that were already slipped down to her shoulders. His grip was heavy, and the pain from his fingernails digging into her skin pushed most of her dizziness away.
She didn't know where the strength came from, but she mustered all her might and pushed him away.
Doctor Tan was completely unprepared, and his body was pushed to the edge of the coffee table. His back spine slammed harshly against the corner, unable to stay steady, and he slid off to the side.
The pain made him roll half a circle on the ground, supporting himself with his hand to sit up, looking at her in disbelief.
"How can you still be conscious?"
Ye Wanting scrambled to her feet, stepping on broken glass, and nearly slipped on the water on the floor.
She had only taken a few sips of that glass of water, leaving most of it untouched.
