The owner found a spot under a tree, wiped it with a black cloth, and invited Yaen Chi to sit down, then turned and went into the shop to get busy.
Yaen Chi sat down, and the table only came up to his waist. The stool was a very short little round one, and with his long legs having no place to go, he stretched one leg under the table, slightly extending it to the opposite side.
The shop was doing very well, people kept coming in, breakfast was something that people ate quickly, and as soon as one batch left another would fill in. The tables never stayed empty for long, and just a few minutes after Yaen Chi sat down, all the inside tables filled up.
Customers placed orders relying solely on the owner's powerful calls, almost like he was chanting.
A moment later, a man in his fifties came to eat, but there were no seats left. He headed straight to Yaen Chi, politely asking if they could share a table.
Yaen Chi nodded.
