Still, he could not stop for a single moment. He stepped forward, disappearing. He attacked another Celestial Emperor. There were less Celestial Emperors than before, which should have made the battle easier, yet it was not at all.
It only made them get closer together and concentrate their attacks more. Just like Zhou Fan, they were now taking this battle extremely seriously.
Zhou Fan's body moved in a way it should not be capable of, avoiding the attacks and appearing behind the Celestial Emperor.
He swung his fist, but a hundred strings wrapped around his arm, slowing his movements. The seven Celestial Emperors all worked together holding this string while also unleashing combined attacks.
The Celestial Emperor that Zhou Fan was attacking dodged.
But Zhou Fan's greatest advantage lay in his age and experience. No matter how long these beings had lived, they were nothing but brats in front of him. If they thought that they could outsmart him with tactics, they were sure to regret it.
Zhou Fan kicked off of the Celestial Emperor, dodging the combined attacks thrown at him.
All of the Celestial Emperors focused on attacking once again, but they failed to notice a rune placed on the back of the Celestial Emperor Zhou Fan had just kicked off.
Although he had not used runes much throughout the years, he continued to hone their mastery and constantly improve them. They had never fallen short, and were still among his usable arsenal.
As soon as the Rune appeared, it let off a light. An explosion happened, combining the Rule of Lightning and the Rule of Fire mastered by two of the Path Creators he had borrowed Rules from. The unsuspecting Celestial Emperor wasn't able to defend against the attack and instantly had a large portion of his back blown off, though it was not quite fatal.
While everyone was distracted by the sudden challenge, Zhou Fan appeared behind another Celestial Emperor and punched. When they noticed the attack, it was too late. Another Celestial Emperor died, and one was incapacitated.
The Celestial Emperors realized this didn't bode well for them. Despite everything, they were fighting a mere Heaven Immortal.
Zhou Fan's River of Cultivation appeared, and the stream began to flow down.
Zhou Fan stood on top of it. With six Celestial Emperors, the situation was still dangerous, but it was no longer a near certainty of death.
He could burst out with his remaining reserves here in an attempt to kill all of them quickly.
The River of Cultivation boosted Zhou Fan, restoring a bit of his body and energy, before it disappeared. He shot forward using the Rules of Time and Space. The Celestial Emperors performed a joint attack in formation, but Zhou Fan punched through most of it and took the rest head on. He closed in on the group of six.
They began to back away while attacking him, and this time, they seemed to use a battle formation. Every avenue of attack was blocked. Except for the one they couldn't see, of course.
Zhou Fan acted like he shot towards a Celestial Emperor, who backed up and was covered by half of the Celestial Emperors, but due to how serious they were now taking Zhou Fan, they failed to notice the star that had appeared and instantly expanded, falling on his initial target and sending him flying. It wouldn't be enough to kill him or take him out of battle, but he surely wouldn't do anything for ten or so seconds.
Zhou Fan punched at the three shocked Celestial Emperors, but the other two shot towards him from behind, unleashing their strongest attacks.
Zhou Fan did not dodge, getting hit head on. He used the boost from the power of their attacks to send him flying at one of the Celestial Emperors.
He received many injuries in the process, but didn't let that distract him for a single moment.
He swung his fist, and despite the defenses of three Celestial Emperors layering, the force of the punch shot through it and hit the Celestial Emperor, slowly destroying his body.
Zhou Fan turned towards the closest Celestial Emperor, and held his hand out. Multiple arms formed. Some defended against the attacks of other Celestial Emperors, while the others tried to grab the target. The Celestial Emperor that was hit by a star joined back, launching an attack at Zhou Fan's back.
But he failed to notice the Rune that the star had imprinted on his neck, and with an explosion, his head was separated from his body. That Rune had been absorbing the surrounding Qi, and was much stronger than the first Rune explosion, killing the Celestial Emperor immediately. Four remained.
But there were only five more minutes before the Universe collapsed. The false space added by the Great Demon had already completely collapsed, and the walls of the Universe would not hold up much longer.
Five minutes was the hopeful estimate.
Zhou Fan shot forward, when an unexpected event happened.
One of the Celestial Emperors from the Human realm turned and ran away without a second thought. There were currently two Celestial Emperors from the Human realm and two from the Non Human realm.
Seeing his companion run away, the other Celestial Emperor hesitated for a single second before following. This left the two Celestial Emperors of the Non Human realm stunned.
The two Human realm Celestial Emperors entered a cloud of time and immediately left the Universe.
It seemed they had some method that assured safe travel.
Meanwhile, the remaining two were still stunned. They could not run away. That would ensure certain death.
If they returned without completing their mission, they wouldn't know how they died.
Unwillingly, they looked at Zhou Fan.
"If you two surrender, I can spare your lives." Zhou Fan said.
The two looked at him with surprise.
But based on this battle, they had no other option.
They laid down their weapons and held their hands in the air.
"Remove your defenses for the suppression of cultivation."
