Chapter 72 - Legend Nineteen Part Five - The Game of Protection, Or, (Are you fucking serious? Who is going to pay for that hole in the roof?!)

The dragon looked down at her unimpressed.

"And what are you doing? Think you're gonna get some free hits in on me too huh?!" Jaycie asked, annoyed.

Skippy giggled a tiny little mouse giggle.

"Nope! I'm just the distraction!" she said, reaching out to shove the dragon hard. Jaycie stumbled back, or at least she tried to, finding that there was something right behind her legs. Because of this, she simply toppled backwards. As she fell, she caught a glimpse of what she had fallen over. It was James! Skippy's Master.

"Are you fucking serious?!" she cursed as she landed hard on her back on what was still left of the dining room table.

"Now!" James shouted, and before the dragon realized it, Hana had lept from the hole Jaycie had made in the ceiling and stomped the dragon straight down into the table once again.

There was a loud crash and the cracking of wood as the huge dragon was forced through the table and only paused at the wooden ground floor below. Hana hopped right out of the hole she had made using the dragon's body and stood on the table over it, still nude.

"Come on out again! Or have you had enough?" Hana taunted her.

Once again she could no longer be seen as the dragon had been smashed into yet another pile of shattered wood. The room fell silent for a moment, but soon enough a low growl began to fill the room. Everyone stood tall, looking and feeling triumphant, but Lucy knew the growl could only mean one thing.

"No..." she said, in almost a whisper. "You pushed her too far without knocking her out."

"What do you mean?" Layla asked, having stayed close to Lucy this whole time.

"There's nothing like a dragon's rage, we need to go! Now! We all have to run!" Lucy yelled, grabbing Layla's wrist. The elf touched her Mistress' hand gently.

"It's okay, we're not running, we won't let anything happen to you," she assured her.

"I... want to believe you Layla, but I don't know if you all will be able to," the wizard said, her hand trembling.

"You should have listened to your Mistress, elf," a voice spoke from the hole in the table. It was Jaycie's voice, but it was different now. Lower, rougher. Layla's eyes widened and the hair on the back of her neck stood up.

"She's right. You should all run," Jaycie went on. One of her claws raised out of the hole and grasped the edge of what was left of the long dining room table. Another clawed hand rose up from the rubble of the table and soon enough the red dragon hauled herself up from the hole she had been so confidently smashed down into.

Mistress Nushi sighed.

"Well fuck," she said simply. Even Canglo the green dragon looked concerned once Jaycie was revealed.

The dragon had ascended from the rubble in a different form. Her eyes were black with red Irises and black slit pupils. Red scales now covered more of her body, making her look like she was almost wearing a suit of sharp red armor. Her wings had grown larger and the horns on her head grew longer. Her claws were massive now. No longer just sharp nails at the ends of her fingers, but huge black talons that were now in place of her fingers. The tip of her tail had a three-pronged spike and her tongue flicked out, forked like a snake. "Holy shit! She's kinda fucking hot, right?" Barric couldn't help but say out loud.

"Barric!" Layla yelled to scold him even in a serious situation like this. Where everyone had once stood tense and eyes wide at their transformed foe, they now just rolled them.

I don't think you could handle me," Jaycie said, though Barric's heart skipped a beat because, now, her voice had come from behind him. "When did you-" he started to ask, but the dragon was too fast for him.

"Besides, you're just a human, and a man on top of that," she said, bringing her leg up to kick the king. He was sent flying across the room and slammed into the wall, cracking the wood paneling as he almost went through it.

"Did-did you see her move!?" Quinn asked Sylas.

"Just barely. But she was too fast for me to do anything," he admitted.

"Master!" Hana screamed before turning right to Jaycie.
