Bunker under the Lab

A man was strapped to a chair with two meta ability disablers. He was wearing a regular everyday outfit and looked as if he was unconscious. In front of him, the Future me was scrolling through some pages in the hologram.

"I know that you are awake. If you get what situation you are in, then tell me the location of The Philosopher's Stone," said Ray.

The man stopped pretending and looked in front of him, he said "That thing is a myth. You will never be able to find it."

"We will see about that. You know, I am already increasing your lifespan by letting you live longer than you are supposed to," Ray turned around and sat down on a chair. "So, how about you tell me the location of The Philosopher's Stone or, shall I say, Brahmastra?"

"Ho-How do you know that name?" the man looked shocked. His fear could be seen through his eyes.

The Brahmastra, known colloquially as the Philosopher's Stone, is an ancient stone in Hindu mythology made of calcified Speed Force energy, believed to be responsible for the creation of the first meta-humans. Sometimes, it is depicted as an arrow or an energy beam, but it is actually a stone.

"I know a lot of things. Heck, if I had included the location of the Philosopher's Stone, I wouldn't have to do any of this. It's just that my younger self will need it soon enough. So, tell me the location of it, and you can have an easy death, and I won't have to deal with time wraiths," Ray exclaimed.

"So you are a time traveller? Then why would you need my help to find it?" he asked.

"I don't know genius. Maybe because I don't know where the fuck you have hidden it!" Ray screamed at him. "Listen, if you don't want to get reunited with your daughter in the afterlife, then tell me the location of the Philosopher's Stone."

"..." the man looked down. "I don't know the exact location, but I know it is somewhere inside the Forest of Life."

"Forest of Life? Don't tell me that your family kept it inside the Forest of Life to transform the speed force energy into life energy?! If it is kept like that for so long, every bit of energy it has will be drained!" Ray stood up and put his hand on his head.

"Bunch of idiots!" He threw the chair towards the wall, breaking it. "If I find out that The Philosopher's Stone has become useless because of your family, then I swear I will end your bloodline."

SCEEECHHH

"Shit! I didn't want to do this, but life is more important than my suit," said Ray.

CRACKLE

In a flash of lightning, he switched their uniforms and hid inside the cell he created. From the see-through glass, he could see a ghost-like being with a partly decomposed body flying down inside the bunker. It looked towards the man who was now wearing the armour that Ray had and travelled towards him. Although the cell was soundproof, he could feel the man screaming inside the armour. Ray watched as the time-wraith touched the man, slowly draining his life force and decomposing the armour. The scene was horrifying, but Ray had seen worse scenes than this.

"There goes my armour... Tch. I need to find a new identity, or those time-wraiths will never let me live peacefully." Ray murmured to himself.

After the bones had completely melted, the time-wraith left the bunker. Ray came out of the cell and started to clean up the corpse, thinking about how to get inside the Forest of Life.

'If I can give the Philosopher's Stone to my younger self, then he can fix the things I couldn't. Although I may get erased from the timeline while trying to accomplish that... I don't care about it any more.' Ray looked at the fragments of the suit. 'I am sorry, mother... please forgive me for what I am about to do.'

Ray walked out of the bunker and looked around to make sure that the time-wraith was gone. He walked out of the lab and headed toward Paragon.

In front of Paragon

--------------

A man with white hair, blue eyes and black spectacles was standing in front of the massive academy, Paragon! An academy which was the training ground of the elites of this world. A place where anyone can only hope to step inside at least once in their life. Today, this man would have entered Paragon as a newly assigned Professor. Alas! Had he not fallen victim to a cunning fox, he might have lived peacefully.

CRAKLE

Suddenly, a white streak of lightning took the man away from the academy, heading toward the nearest uncrowded dark area.

"Prof. Holborn, why did I give him a name like that? Whatever, it's not like I have a choice. Sorry, Professor. I hope you can live peacefully in your next life," Before the man could say anything, Ray started to vibrate the molecules in his hand until they became fast enough to phase through solid matter. He phased his hand through the heart of Prof. Holborn, killing him in an instant.

"Wally, burn his corpse after you take his clothes and accessories. Take your time, but be careful. We don't want any mishaps." Wally climbed down from his shoulder and began to do what he was told.

"I got myself a new identity. Sigh... Now, I can start searching for the Philosopher's Stone or the so-called Brahmastra. I hope I don't mess up again." Ray said to himself.
