Stepping beyond the monastery doors, Di Tou half unwillingly, half awkwardly followed the monk through the halls. As they walked, Di Tou couldn't help but notice that although the monastery building was quite large, the number of monks was relatively few, leaving the building feeling quite desolate and almost like a strange relic in time, as the old architecture contrasted against its clean interior and few inhabitants.
But after walking for a while, with the monk pointing and explaining pieces of history and what sort of traditions the temple followed from time to time, the monk finally lead Di Tou into a back courtyard, which was quite a bit busier, with a few people practicing martial arts in one corner, and a small kitchen to the other side.
