Zion cast a glance at Suga. Their eyes met, just for a second, but it was enough to make Suga flinch. Without a word, Zion turned his gaze away, shifting it back to Hendrick.
"My condition was simple. And yet, you made it so difficult, Mr. Arden. For everything I'm offering your business, all I asked for was one thing ... so simple even a child could manage it. And still, you failed."
Hendrick gave a slow nod. "Apologize," he repeated. He looked as though he wanted to say more, but Zion cut him off.
"In that case, I'll be leaving one of my men here, to accompany Suga. If this is the state of your security, I have no reason to trust you completely. Even if you hold full control over this island."
With that, Zion turned and strode out of the room. Hendrick followed behind, but not before he'd summoned guards ahead of time. As Suga took a step forward, wanting to call after Zion, several guards rushed in and grabbed hold of him.
