We walked into the store in the Trees of the Green Goddess Planet. The weapons shop was located at the top of a massive branch that was over two kilometers into the air. Gravity technology kept it at the planet's standard gravity, which was about sixty percent of that on Earth in real life. At least Gabin Corporation kept Standard Gravity to the standards that people in real life could understand.
The store had an amazing amount of wood in everything, or at least it looked like wood until you touched it. The store was large, but there were no guns in sight. Instead, you walked up to the counter, and a White human woman stood there with a large smile and cup breasts where you could see her cleavage without reservation. She was wearing a Green dress that looked like leaves and was skin tight around her chest and pulling apart her breasts. I could not see what was below the counter, but she stood with a smile.
"Welcome to Tree Top Guns. How can I help you today?" The clerk asked.
"We are looking for weapons, obviously. We are also looking to be fast and get out of here fast for a time-sensitive mission. Also, if you have them, some drones are for combat," I finished with a clarification.
The woman smiled, "We have all that you need. Would you like to use our tablets?" She asked and pulled out four tablets, and we each picked up one. Emma, Meemee, Nyahdia, and I were all here so we could depart to the ambush location. We had already grabbed a skimmer to get there quickly.
I quickly went into the explosives area and found a rather limited selection. I frowned but quickly remembered that this planet was very aware of the trees. The Spaceport was a massive place, and we had already made our deliveries. Passenger liners were the spaceport's largest users, so we quickly arrived after delivery.
I looked at the stuff I could use to make traps and found a larger selection. I sighed contentedly and picked up two dozen stealth anti-skimmer mines that came in a deployment backpack. I also purchased four discreet, friendly identifiers. I moved on down the list and found that Incendiaries were outright banned here.
"Any Incenerary weapons are considered weapons of terrorism on this planet," The woman informed me, "In fact, the Explosive mines you picked are all picked because they have a property built into them that is a specialty of this planet. It comes with a chemical that will not hurt the environment and stops any explosions from causing a fire. A decade ago, this was discovered on the planet, and so we legalized explosives only with this property in them, or you will be charged with terrorism if an explosion without the compound in it is used.
I nodded, and I picked out explosive rounds for my sniper rifle.
Nyahdia smiled as she picked out the things she said she was going to buy, and Emma did the same. Meemee, on the other hand, looked more concentrated as she looked through the drones. When we all finished selecting things, with me finishing first, the woman looked through the list and nodded.
"Perfect, I will get them for you now," she said, heading through a small door. A wall literally came down and closed off the counter, so we could not hop over. It seemed that weapons on this planet were heavily regulated, and I could not really blame them.
Then she came out with two black backpacks with a circular hole in the bottom and put them before me. She also put five boxes of ammo for my Sniper rifle and ten boxes for my assault rifle. I smiled, and I put it in my credit account. "I am going to put these into the skimmer we have outside; please charge my account for everything we purchase," I told her. She nodded and returned to the back after Emma finished her purchases.
It did not take me long to put the backpacks in the back and grab the empty magazines that I had brought for this. I picked them up and brought them back in and started to load them as I saw the wall come back up. Emma had a new light machine gun. This was not one of those ones I would see in Call of Duty. Those were heavy and bulky and could fire with authority.
This one was a lightweight 3mm machine gun. This was meant to be able to hold down suppressing fire and reload quickly. The Ammunition, electric, and armor piercing. These would not do much damage in total, but anyone in the way of them would end up dead without armor, and with armor, their systems would be under strain. She picked up ten double drum magazines, and the ammo capacity for these was two hundred 3 mm rounds. It was a gun meant for lower gravity encounters, but Emma said she believed that she could hold it in standard gravity. She smiled, picking it up, and she nodded as she held it easily, and the woman handed her a contraption. "This is for loading the gun easier. Put the bullets in here and press here, and it will automatically load fifty rounds. It is still slow but faster than by hand," She said. Emma took the boxes of ammo, smiled, and came over to me, where I used a table to start loading my ammo into magazines.
Nyahdia was next, and when the woman came back, it was with a backpack-mounted grenade launcher. Nyahdia was going to be the main cover firepower, and this grenade launcher came with five tubes that you could swap quickly between, with only one grenade of the previous belt remaining. It worked quickly, and it took only three seconds to change ammo types. She pulled out boxes upon boxes of grenades, and Nyahdia came over and started to load up the grenades into the large, heavy-duty backpack.
The Grenades chosen for this night were interference smoke grenades, frag grenades, sensor grenades, proximity grenades, and sticky proximity grenades. It was a nice selection, but I knew it was going to hurt my account numbers, which was fine. I was probably going over budget.
Emma was in charge of covering fire, Nyahdia was in charge of creating chaos, and I was in charge of the initial ambush, picking off enemies and any transportation abilities, which left Meemee. Last time, she was the main scout, but this time, with our plan, she would never be able to do that. So she needed to adapt and needed new drones for that.
Instead, she would become the perimeter defense, keeping an eye out for interference and runners. She was perfect for this task. The woman brought out a massive handheld bag of drones, and Meemee smiled. This was what she asked for to do this job, and the woman said, "These are preloaded. Would you like to have the extra ammo now or have it shipped somewhere?"
"Shipped to our Ship," Meemee said, and she nodded and took down the details. Meemee then picked up the drones and went to put them in the back of the car.
I then walked up and asked for the price, and I winced at the price tag. "That would be two hundred fifty-seven thousand three hundred and sixty-three credits." The woman reported with a smile that told me she might be getting a commission. I winced hard, and I looked over the bill. I realized that the drones that Meemee picked up were just over eighty thousand, but the real expense was the Grenade launcher, at just under one hundred thousand Federation credits.
In the end, I paid and looked at the final amount of credits I had left.

Then, Meemee waited in the car for us with a smile on her face. Her cute little ears twitched as she looked forward to using the drones she had just got. Nyahdia was smiling ear to ear, no longer thinking about the lack of her starship, and I finished loading up my ammo, brought it back to the skimmer, and loaded it up. We were still twelve hours out and had time to set things up. We were banking on the ambush being perfect; if they did not fall into our trap, we would be aborting the mission—no ifs, ands, or buts. We were not risking our lives if it did not go according to plan.
Then, we headed to the location, which took time. Two hours later, we were in a long alley of thick, massive trees—a highway of sorts not far from the cave where the Terrorists were supposedly staying. The trees were over fifty meters thick, creating a scene you had to see to believe. It was amazing, and it looked stunning just seeing them.
Then, as if to complicate things, there were branches, too. They were not as thick as those at the top, but these were green branches with thick green leaves that caught the green glow of light coming down through the thinner, more transparent leaves at the top.
This long alleyway was one of the few places, it seemed, where you could quickly move without having to weave through the trees again and again. It was a long two-hundred-kilometer highway with small roadways in each direction that you would have to weave through.
Now, roads and alleyways were something this world did not really have. Sure, they used those words, but there was no asphalt or anything like that. Because of skimmers, they had no need for that. But you still could not go in a straight line because of the thick trees. This meant that this natural highway was going to have some traffic.
We landed on the ground and began pulling out our supplies and setting up. The Skimmers moved through and we did our best not to be obvious. I laid down the mines which could shoot up into the air if they detected something. I put them on activation mode, which meant that they would not do anything till I pressed the button.
Meemee quickly put down the heavy-duty bag, and the drones came out like a swarm. She placed them on the trees in the right position, creating the perimeter, and began to watch for the terrorists. I got into place, taking my time to find the best coverage I could get. I finally found one by going down the road a little and found myself two hundred meters away, which gave me a great view of everything, including some side entrances that they could use to escape. It was not ideal, but this was taking place in a hard spot.
Emma took a spot close to the ground and hid in the underbrush, ready to shoot. Nyahdia took a close place with cover for her to duck behind and a tree nearby in case she needed to bounce the grenades into place.
Skimmer after skimmer went by, and it took us more time than we cared to admit to get to these good locations. So, any time they could be arriving, we were looking for a large group, and we had some identifiers from the bounty office. We settled in and waited, with our HUD lighting up, and we began to chat idly.
Meemee was the first to send out the silence signal, and we all shut up instantly. "I have identified a convoy of skimmers heading this way with the right identities. We have no traffic coming through at this point, and they will be here in five minutes."
"Affirmative, it seems they are a little early, activating traps. Get ready, ladies; we are about to start this thing," I replied over the HUD, and my HUD lit up with fifteen Skimmers moving in this direction, and four of them looked armored in some way.
I took a deep breath, and my armor made me perfectly hidden. My sniper was filled with explosive ammo, and I took aim at the leading armored skimmer and waited, anticipating what was next.
