Before the death of his sister, one of the things Corey did while he was struggling to recuperate from his lethal injuries was finding a way to kill the Clown.
He vividly recalled Divine telling him that the Clown was Immortal, and that no matter what he or anybody did, the Clown would always recover from his injuries.
He was a freak of nature. An Immortal. Somebody that could not die.
And he could also steal the abilities of others.
Although Divine already gave him all these information about the Clown, seeing him recovering even when Pamela beheaded him and turned him to ashes made him to realize that none of his attacks could kill the Clown.
He thought of several methods to kill the Clown, and one of those methods was creating a miniature black hole.
With his strength, creating an actual black hole was not possible despite possessing a void phoenix heart.
However, he could create that was similar to a true black hole, and he planned on using it to kill the Clown.
