Chapter 2 - Ch.2

A 10 year old Hoshigaki Koi was currently skipping stone at the sea side. He would often do this while he is waiting. He is quite good, back that shouldn't be a surprise considering that this is his third life.

His mother and father view him as a genius, which also makes them sad that they don't have safe place for him to let his talent explode. Instead they have to live a life of constantly being prepared to get attacked thanks to the one and only Hoshigaki Kisame, his uncle.

His father often quarreled with his bother over them having to leave, but at the end of things the Hoshigaki hate liars and being lied to. That doesn't stop his father from kicking Kisame ass every time he shows up.

Now people might think how a blacksmith who doesn't use ninjutsu can beat the Taillest Tailed Beast in a spar. The answer is simple, he's just that good. His weapons or nothing to joke about either. He is a smith that has been making weapons for over twenty years starting when he was ten, and he's good at it. He plans on getting good enough to make a blade better then the Seven Swords of the Mist, but he has still quite a ways to go since those swords each have special abilities that make them dangerous.

Koi was also different from most Hoshigaki in terms of appearances. He was practically a spitting image of his uncle beside his sharper jawline and the fact that he black instead of blue hair, and was a white-grey instead of a blue skin.

What Koi was currently waiting for was for his uncle to show up, he found that if he practiced becoming perfectly still he might miss a chance to ambush his uncle. It was excellent training for him to hide his presence from a S rank ninja. The only reason his uncle noticed him was because of that stupid sword of his warned him as we was about to drop down. Honestly him and his father have no idea why he won't carry a trusty sword that won't double cross you.

Koi grabbed his katana and wakizashi and strapped them on his waist like a samurai, his parents didn't know why he did that or why he chose that way, but they let him be. He decided to wait in with both blades drawn ready to pounce.

He arrived and immediately started hiding his presence and Chakra, with his control it was easy even with his large reserves. He waited for half an hour before he spotted his uncle.

Kisame was in that black cloak with red clouds with a straw hat, he had someone a bit shorter then him wearing a similar outfit. They walked side by side until uncle raised his hand and approached alone.

Koi smirked. 'It seems he's more wary after last time, no matter I improved alot since last time' he thought as he crouched ready to spring.

(Itachi POV)

I don't know why Kisame gave the signal to stop. When I asked where we were going he just said "You'll see" and left it at that.He now seems to be waiting for a trap to spring, I better have my gaurd up of Kisame being this cautious. Itachi thought.

There was a small burst of lightning in a bush as a white grey figure with two swords rushed Kisame. I got ready to interfere but he managed block the strike, he had a look of surprise at first, but then he grinned. I figured I let him have his fun.

As I watched the fight I noticed few things that made me even more curious. The person he was fighting looked a lot like Kisame, did he have a kid? The boy technique with lightning seemed off, I couldn't copy it, which meant it was some form of kekkei genkai or something else. Another thing, the kid was good, really good. He was using his lightning to keep up with Kisame in this kenjutsu battle, but he was still a bit slower and was fighting even with Kisame in a head on fight.

This meant that the kid was just as skilled as Kisame if not more, and he had a lot of battle experience.

(Normal POV)

'This was hard. I specifically used my kekkei genkai to absorb natural lighting as a counter for Samehada and give me a speed boost. But I still don't match him in raw strength in stamina.' Koi thought.

'How the hell is my nephew this strong already?!?' Kisame thought. He was very surprised to say the least. He was the strongest of the Seven Swordsman but this kid might be teaching him in a few years.

Even though the match appeared even, all three parties knew that the kid would lose, they could see this as his attacks came faster and stronger while Kisame was mostly on defense.

Three minutes later Koi was overwhelmed by his uncles strength and stamina and was sitting on the ground with Samehada in his face. Kisame was looking at him with a toothy grin as he scowled at him. Itachi was both confused and interested about this meeting.

"You've grown better brat," Kisame said as he put Samehada on his back. "but keep this in mind, no matter how skilled you are you have to make sure your body is up for the challenge."

"Alright Uncle, and you need to be faster." Koi said pointing at his cloak that was cut in several places and would need to be replaced.

"Cocky brat." Kisame scowled at Koi with Koi returning it.

Itachi just stood there and decided to speak up. "Uncle?"

A.N:

This seemed like a good way to start, next chapter you'll get to meet the parents. And before your calling Koi Over Powered he isn't. He technically has around 70 years of swordfighting experience as the best, and his Kekkei Genkai which will play later gave him that speed boost needed to keep up with Kisame. Also this was a kenjutsu fight where Samehada didn't even come out of the bandages or and jutsus used. He was also holding back a bit due to pride.

I will try to update weekly as I do not plan to drop this story.
