The deal between Doom and Tony was finished within hours thanks to the fact Ezekiel knew exactly how to make them get along. It also helped that Doom respected smart people and Tony was a lot less cocky thanks to Ezekiel. Doom still had most of his ego intact and it flared up randomly, but Ezekiel was hopeful Tao would beat that out of him sooner or later.
The deal itself was massive, Latveria would become the biggest producer of Stark electronics outside of the US. Ezekiel already planned for it to happen and broke ground a week before doing a lot of prep work for the manufacturing hub that would be created. The special production machines were already ordered and would be finished a few days after the building was completed.
Ezekiel planned for everything to be finished within a month and would have people from Latveria training in the US while everything was under construction. The goal was for the production facility to be finished and to produce goods within a week of its opening. That should provide a decent amount of jobs, but it wasn't the only thing Ezekiel set in motion with Doom.
The population would be given a proper education and people would be guided towards professions that suited them. It would take at least a year for that to start showing results and would be a long term project. But the goal would help produce workers in every field that was needed and also find talented individuals for math, science, chemistry and other important subjects. As for doctors, they wouldn't be needed as much because of the medical pods.
That didn't mean they would go away, but doctors that didn't specialize in surgery or something else wouldn't exist. The medical pods Tony created could do everything short of major surgery. And the only reason they couldn't was because Ezekiel and Tony were still working on it. Plus they knew the medical pods themselves would upset a ton of people already. If they could also do surgery on top of diagnosis and regular treatment, well they knew it would be harder to introduce them to the market.
Not only is the medical pod going to gut the urgent care business model and make a lot of unspecialized doctors jobless. It would also mess with the health insurance industry and finish it off for good. While the company Ezekiel created already did a great job of that, there were still a couple of companies that stuck around and were trying to compete with him. When the medical pods were officially launched and their use came free with one of his insurance policies… Needless to say, Ezekiel saw another massive shit storm coming.
As for the take over of Latveria, the wider world knew nothing about it. While they rebuilt under Doom's leadership and Ezekiel's help, they made no statement or official statement about Doom becoming its leader. As far as the world was concerned, Latveria closed off its borders and no one knew what happened. Doom planned to make the announcement to the UN at their next major summit, but that wasn't until early next year. Ezekiel already made plans to attend and live stream the event because he knew Doom was going to put on a show.
Once everything calmed down and Theo wasn't directly needed for anything, he spent the rest of his summer with his family. Part of it was spent putting the finishing touches on his car, but it would still be almost a year before he could drive it… Legally, that is.
Theo and Peter already took their cars to Mars a few times to put them through their paces on a test track he created there. His dad and the rest of the family were excited to have access to a real race track and drag strip. Well everyone but his mom, but she was always over protective. Even though she knew Theo and everyone else could be caught in a bomb blast and easily walk away.
As for Theo's car, besides the final paint job, everything else was finished. Theo used runic magic on each piece to reinforce and protect it, so that it would basically last forever. The only thing he didn't protect was the glass, parts of the frame and the body panels. It was mostly so if he was in an accident or someone keyed his car it would be affected. Since he didn't want to stand out because he had a magical car that couldn't be harmed.
Peter's car was enchanted the same way, but in testing lost to Theo's whenever they raced. That was mostly because Theo did a lot of modifications to his engine and with his custom frame shaved off a few hundred pounds. As for colors, Peter was going with red since he really had a thing for that color. It was still a toss up between a basic cherry or fire engine red, while Theo already settled on a midnight indigo purple. It was a three stage painting process that would make the car look different colors depending on the light and angle you looked at it from.
About a week before school started back up, Theo was at the shop working on a customer's car. In the middle of installing the pistons into an engine block, his phone started to ring. Instead of trying to answer it with his grease covered gloves he asked, "JARVIS, who's calling me?"
"Mr. Stark is."
"Put him on speaker please."
A second later Tony could be heard from his chest pocket of the busy sound of the shop, "Hey… You busy? What are you doing right now?"
Theo changed his voice to Ezekiel's as he asked, "A little bit, why, what do you need?"
"Need? I don't need anything. I just wanted to call and check up on you."
"Don't bullshit me, you just saw me yesterday. Spit it out, what do you need?" Theo asked and after a few seconds of silence he said, "If you're not gonna talk, I'll just hang up."
"Can you watch Morgan tonight?"
"Why?"
Tony let out a sigh before he said, "I forgot Pepper mentioned some event we needed to attend in a few hours and Happy will be there with Anna… Rhodey is the only other person I could ask, but he's also busy."
"So your last choice was me?"
"It wouldn't be if you didn't feed her tons of candy and caffeine whenever you watched her…" Tony said in an annoyed tone.
"That's because I'm the cool uncle."
"Keep telling yourself that."
"I will, I might even get it on a shirt." Ezekiel said in a joking tone before he added, "Why don't you ask Doom? He would probably watch Morgan for you."
"What?!? No way."
"Why not? He might have an ego, but he's responsible and could easily watch her for a few hours."
"No. Even if you vouch for the guy, I hardly know him and I won't trust Morgan to anyone I don't know personally and consider a friend."
Ezekiel greased up another piston as he said, "They have Stane do it."
"Obie? He might have a heart attack if I tell him I have a kid and ask him to babysit her at the same time… Besides, he's currently in Japan working on a trade deal."
Ezekiel shook his head slightly as he said, "Fine, I get it. I'll pick her up in an hour."
"Great! I knew I could count on you… Just don't feed her-"
Tony's voice cut off as JARVIS said, "I took the liberty of hanging up the phone for you."
Theo let out a chuckle before he said, "Thanks and please text Hulk, Hela and Maya about babysitting Riri for tonight."
"Already sent. Maya agreed but asked that you not feed her too much candy again."
"Fat chance… Well I guess for Riri, but Morgan is totally getting as much as she wants." Theo said as he continued working and thought about what they would do tonight. Board games tended to be the default option, but they could also go to the amusement park in Genosha.
About half an hour later Theo cleaned up his work area and used a spell to clean himself up before he changed into Ezekiel and portaled to Tony's. He quickly grabbed Morgan and disappeared before Tony or Pepper could nag him about feeding Morgan whatever she wanted. Once they appeared at Hulk's house, Ezekiel picked up Riri and the two sisters started their normal routine.
While the girls were busy, Hulk and Ezekiel started playing a fighting game together as they waited for Hela to show up. As the two of them were in a heated game of Smash, Hela showed up with dinner for everyone. It was just pizza and wings, but she also stopped by a store and picked up the girls favorite treats along with ice cream.
Ezekiel finished a combo and knocked Hulk's last guy off the platform before he jumped after him. As Hulk tried to jump back up and save himself, Ezekiel came in and the TV blared, "Falcon Punch! Game!" As the victory screen appeared, Hulk slammed his large game pad with one hand as he said, "You always cheat!"
"I do not! You just suck at Smash and also pick bad match ups."
"Cheater!" Hulk said with a pout as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Says the guy who likes to un-pause games when I have to answer the phone."
"Hulk not cheater!"
Hela finished laying out everything on the kitchen table as she said, "Don't start arguing about that again… Come eat dinner and then we can play some board games."
Ezekiel and Hulk ended up dropping the argument since it happened almost every time they played Smash. As they ate dinner, Hela sat next to Ezekiel and watched Morgan and Riri with a slight smile as she asked, "They're really cute together, aren't they?"
Ezekiel glanced towards the sisters who were happily eating as they talked with each other before he said, "Yeah, I'm surprised they get along so well."
Hela studied Ezekiel with a glint in her eyes as he smiled slightly and watched the girls for a moment. When he turned towards Hela, she was no longer looking at him as he said, "Honesty I can't wait for Tony to meet Riri and find out he has another kid."
"What about Pepper?"
"I doubt if she'll be that upset, she knows how Tony used to be. It's honestly surprising he only has the one with his track record."
Hela nodded slightly before she said, "It wasn't uncommon for a strong warrior to have more than one mate on Asgard. Tony might not be physically strong, but his suit is pretty impressive… He would qualify for that right since he created the suit himself."
Ezekiel chuckled as he said, "Don't tell that to Tony, he might get ideas of trying to move to Asgard…"
