Glancing at the table, Jack said, "Miss, you don't have to be so kind to that woman." What right does an impostor have to gain benefits from Miss Lily?
"I'm not discussing this with you, Jack."
Miss Lily emphasized.
Upon hearing this, Jack stiffened, and quickly said, "Jack acknowledges his mistake and will follow your orders to give the money to that woman."
"Leave."
Miss Lily said faintly, having never looked at Jack throughout.
With a yes, Jack departed.
Twenty minutes later, Jack stopped in front of a relatively secluded villa in the estate. He stood there for quite a while before stepping inside.
"Sob, sob..." Hearing the door open, the woman, bound hand and foot to the bed, cried and craned her neck to look at the doorway, hoping the newcomer would kindly untie her and let her leave this dreadful place.
However, upon hearing the footsteps, her eyes instantly dimmed, and she lay motionless like a dead fish.
