(Everything progresses the same as it did in the original, Zeus tells Buddha to fight and Buddha agrees to fight. Things stay the same until Buddha announces his "betrayal".)

The tension in the arena was evident to all, as all the Gods glared and cursed at Buddha for his act of betrayal. However, Buddha's glare shut most of them up.

Zeus entered the arena, shocking everyone present. His mere presence just proved how truly serious the situation was.

"Do you truly intend to betray the Gods? This is your final chance," Zeus stated with a serious tone.

"Old Man, I have already decided. If the gods won't save them... I will. And if any God gets in my way... "I'll kill them," Buddha declared, his voice firm and resolute as his gaze locked on Zeus'.

Upon hearing Buddha's fearless threat, the Supreme Gods from all the pantheons bristled with anger, and a surge of bloodlust swept through the arena from everywhere. If the previous declaration hadn't already angered the Gods, this definitely did.

"Heh, don't blame me for being ruthless kid. I gave you a choice," Zeus replied with a sneer.

Buddha's glare intensified, and he interrupted Zeus, "Enough with the small talk, Old man. Who will be my opponent? Will it be you? I wouldn't mind facing even the great Zeus, ya know."

"Luckily for you, you won't be facing me, but someone else," Zeus said with a smile, hinting at something.

An overwhelming pressure filled the air, rendering everyone silent. It felt as if some impending inevitable doom was surfacing, making everyone wait anxiously.

An odd yet familiar presence washed over the tournament grounds, a presence like no other recognized by both gods and humans alike.

The sound of heavy footsteps echoed through the air, drawing everyone's attention to a tall and muscular figure emerging from the side of the gods.

This figure was known to everyone this was none other than the infamous God, Poseidon, The God of Gods.

Fear and amazement spread like wildfire throughout the entire arena. Poseidon presence commanded both respect and fear, and his reputation had reached far and wide. His victory over the Human (Sasaki Kojiro) in Round 3 had only further amplified his formidable reputation.

As the revelation sank in, a question lingered in everyone's minds: Was it even allowed for a god to participate twice? However, no one dared to voice their doubts aloud.

As Zeus left the stadium, he patted Poseidon's shoulder and said, "I leave the rest to you."

Poseidon remained silent, looking at Zeus for a moment and then nodding slightly. The audience now understood that Poseidon would be the God to fight in the 5th round.

Heimdall being quick on the uptake announced the fight has commenced.

At the God's Side

"I never expected Poseidon-Chan to fight. Did you, Uncle?" Loki asked Odin in surprise.

Odin was silenced as even he was shocked by the unexpected turn of events.

"Damm, would you look at that? I have never seen Poseidon be this active, at least not before the Ragnarök," remarked Shiva from his chamber, where he was still getting treated.

Thor smiled, pleased with the current outcome, from his chamber.

"Lord Poseidon is fighting?" said Ares, with a surprised face

"Yes, that's what they said," replied Hermes with his typical smile.

"I know. I heard it the first time. I was being rhetorical... did you know of this beforehand too?" asked Ares curiously.

"No, I genuinely had no idea about this. Lord Zeus hadn't informed me," said Hermes sincerely.

At the Valkyrie's Side

"This is seriously bad news, sister. Did you hear what they said? Lord Poseidon is fighting," said Goll, panicking.

"I know. I heard it," replied Brunhilde, nervously biting her nails.

"I wasn't expecting this. I thought they would have sent the 7(8) lucky gods," thought Brunhilde inwardly, sweat forming on her brow.

At the Battlefield

Poseidon gazed at the ground, seemingly uninterested in Buddha. He didn't even bother to look at Buddha's face, considering him unworthy of his attention.

"So, I'm not even worthy for you to look at?", said Buddha, disappointment apparent in his expression.

Buddha attempted to read Poseidon's soul, but was shocked to see only a veil covering his soul. How was this possible? It wasn't pure darkness; it was purpleish in color, and if he could name this color, it would be...

Pride

Overwhelming pride, unlike any other, the pride of a God, the pride of being a God and the pride for a God.

"Incredible!" Buddha exclaimed aloud. "I see nothing but... Pride. This is my first time experiencing something like this," he said with a bitter smile.

At the God's Side

"Hermes, what is Buddha talking about? Do you have any idea?", Ares was completely baffled by Buddha's reaction.

"I am not too sure either, it's like he saw something impossible.", Hermes looked equally confused as he replied.

"I think I know what happened."

Both Hermes and Ares looked back and saw Zeus with a smile approaching them.

""Father""

He waved a hand to them.

"Have any of you heard about Eighth Consciousness?" Zeus asked, they responded by moving their heads sideways to indicate a 'No'.

"It's something like future-sight, but not actually, because it's actually reading the soul, before you do anything, your soul moves before your own body, Buddha can see that, so in a sense he has foresight."

Hermes then remarked, "Lord Zeus, that still doesn't explain Lord Buddha's reaction."

"My intuition tells me that for some reason, he is unable to use that ability on Poseidon, and the reason being... Pride" Zeus stroked his chin as he spoke, returning his gaze to the arena.

At the Battlefield

Rather than wasting time waiting for him to move, I should attack him first; now that I can't read his soul, I'll need to take every advantage I can.

Buddha transformed his staff into the Divine Realm as he prepared to launch a quick attack, but Poseidon vanished without a word and reappeared behind Buddha.

Buddha barely managed to block it in time because of his reflexes, but just the sheer force of the attack crushed the ground beneath him.

"That was a close ca-"

Before he could finish his sentence, an attack pierced through his clothes and flesh, causing blood to spill out of his body.

"What happened to all that confidence from before, 'faker'?", Poseidon taunted Buddha with a mocking smile.
