While Ryan meditated to get used to the power he had just received, he did not know the impact of his new power on the world. A massive explosion of natural energy is coming out of the planet itself, and all of them are rushing to Yasaka's Palace like a tsunami.
However, instead of turning all the Youkai into stone or making them mad, the natural energy ignores them entirely and aims for a single point.
"What is happening?!"
Amaterasu shouts in surprise and looks around, searching for the enemy. Seeing none, he closes her eyes and connects her senses directly to the island. After a few seconds of searching, she opens her eyes in surprise.
Yasaka looks at her and says,
"My Lady! Have you found the problem?!"
She frowns and says.
"It is not a problem. It is a particular thing, but it is anything but a problem."
She looks at Yasaka and says.
"It is your mate, Yasaka. All of these natural energies are rushing toward him, and he receives them all with open arms. At the moment, he is healing the planet from all the taint. If he continues at this pace, the planet will return to its primordial state in a year."
Yasaka looks at her in shock and says,
"Truly?"
"Yes. However, he is changing."
"What do you mean, my lady? Is he okay?"
"Ah, you don't need to worry about him. He is more than okay. He is now the chosen of Earth."
"He already received the title of Sage, my lady."
"No. It is more than that. He is now the defender of the planet. His life is now tied to the planet. He will always be alive as long as the planet is alive."
Amaterasu looks at Yasaka with a smile and says,
"Now you don't need to worry if he dies before you are, dear."
Yasaka smiles a little at the news. That is one of the fears she has in her mind. She fears Ryan will die before she does. She still thinks that Ryan is a human and will die before her. Even with Senjutsu, she fears it will only last a couple of centuries.
"What does this new title make him do, my lady?"
"I don't know. I only know about his new position because I can feel a type of divinity starting to appear from his soul."
"Is he going to ascend? It has been a while since a mortal ascended to Godhood."
The last person to ascend is Guan Yu. He takes the title of God of War and takes the name Guan Di. That is the most recent human that ascended to divinity. Many claim to ascend from their mortal coil and reach divinity, but only Guan Yu has managed to do so in recent years.
And that happened more than a thousand years ago.
If Ryan ascends, he will be the most recent mortal to ascend and the only person who has managed to do so in recent years.
"No." Amaterasu shakes her head and continues. "He has not ascended. Like I said, he is the protector of this planet. He might have something similar to Divinity, but it is something older. It is the energy that existed before even the Gods existed. It is the energy that exists when this planet is nothing but molten lava."
"I see. So he is not a God?"
"Well, he can be considered that. He will not be different from a God as long as he has worshippers."
"I see."
Yasaka shakes her head and looks at Amaterasu.
"Lady Amaterasu, do you still need me? I need to check on Ryan."
"No. Don't do that. Let him do his duty to the planet. I don't want you to be contaminated by this amount of natural energy. The planet might be able to control them so they don't hurt the Youkai, but I don't want to take a chance with this amount of natural energy."
She looks at Yasaka and says.
"Go and tell the others about this. Make sure no one disturbs him for now."
"I understand, my lady."
Yasaka bows and leaves the room. She needs to inform the others not to disturb her mate.
==Line Break==
"Good. We are all here."
Sirzerchs looks at his fellow Satans. His face lacks the smile that he usually uses when they are meeting with each other. His voice also lacks any warmth and is now cold, devoid of emotion.
"Why did you call us here, Sirzechs?"
Even the lazy Falbium Asmodeus looks serious after hearing the tone in Sirzechs' voice. Instead of answering his question, Sirzechs looks at Serafall, who nods her head.
"Before we continue with my report, do you guys know about the situation in Asgard and Kyoto?"
Ajuka shakes his head, but Falbium nods his head. Serafall looks at Falbium, and the man knows her unvoiced request.
"I only know the basics from all the spies I put around Norse Pantheon's territory."
Ajuka nods and says,
"Even the basics are better than what I know."
"Right. What I hear is that they are facing a Ragnarok. However, unlike what the prophecy showed, this one also involves other factions. I hear the Shinto, Youkai, and Greek Pantheon. I don't know the details, but I hear the allied factions won the war, and now they are recovering. The Norse Pantheon does not lose their Major Gods but they lose quite a bit of Minor Gods. Loki managed to leave and promise vengeance."
Falbium leans over his chair and continues.
"I don't know the reason why the other factions decided to join because the people that join the fight are very tight lipped. It looks like the Old Odin regains his youth, and now we are facing the Warrior Odin instead of the Old and Wise Odin."
The three of them wince a little at the news. The current Odin is someone who leans over his wise side. He is someone who is hard to anger and willing to use diplomacy first. If Odin now leaned more to his warrior side, it is a different matter.
There is a reason why Odin has the title of Mad God or the God of Frenzy. If he leans over too hard to his warrior side, he will return to be the Tyrant of Asgard who prefers war instead of diplomacy.
They don't know if the agreement between the Devil Race and the Asgardian will stay if Odin returns to his prime self.
"Yeah. I don't know if he will break the agreement, but I don't see the reason why he would do that. He might return some of his warrior-self, but he is not leaning too heavily to that side."
Serafall releases a relieved sigh and nods her head.
"You are right. Anyway, do you know what's happening in Kyoto, Falbium?"
"Less than what I know from the north. However, I know they get invaded. By who and why, I don't know."
Serafall nods her head and says.
"The two events are related to each other. The mastermind behind these attacks is the Old Satan Faction."
Serafall leans forward and continues.
"We need to talk about the involvement of the Old Satan Faction and how it will impact our race. I know for sure the Gods of these factions will blame the entire race because of the actions of those terrorist groups."
Sirzerchs stands up and says.
"We need to make a plan to ensure they do not blame us."
