"Who is there?." I cursed under my breath.
It has been a long time since I had a nice sleep, I mean a very nice sleep and some idiot was at my door knocking like a bull.
I took my towel which was at the back of the door to dry myself before putting it down.
I picked up my robe, wearing it." Now I will catch a cold" I told myself as I pack my wet hair into a bun.
The idiot at the door was still knocking when I got to the living room. "gosh I'm so angry right now does that idiot never get tired."
I walk to the door, Checking the door hole to know who the sleep disturber is, it was a flower man holding a bunch of flower in his left hand. 'Oh it's you they send to disturb me really.' I make a stupid face.
"Who is it?." I asked one more time before I opened the door even though I have already seen who it was. The idiot did not even reply and I'm sure he heard me.
"Good day to you miss." He smiled, I really feel like slapping that stupid smile off his face 'you woke me up idiot.' I said to myself.
"Good day, how may I help you." I smiled back even though it did not reach my eyes.
"A young man asked me to give this flower to you" He put forward the flowers forward for me to collect.
"I think you made a mistake." I smiled awkwardly.
"I'm really sure this is for you miss." He smiled. 'Ok what with your smile, do you want a knock on your head huh' I said in my mind.
"I will take it then." I collected the flower. What a shame these beautiful flowers would be going to the waste bin.
Wait! Instead of being wasteful why not give it to someone but who should I give it to, I rarely know anyone in the building. Mrs Luke, she is the only person I can give these beautiful flowers to.
"Miss can you hear me?." The flower man asked bringing me back to planet earth.
"What did you say."
"I said sign here miss." He gave me a pen and a book where I'm to sign. Putting down some random signature that I don't own I even wrote a fake name since he was unable to say my name, he left.
I went back inside, got a bowl, put water in it then the flowers. It would not be in a good state if I didn't put some water. 'It just still tomorrow, I'm giving Mrs anyways.' I said to myself sneezing. Yeah I'm allergic to flowers.
I went back to the bathroom but not to have bath but to flush down the water I had bathe with earlier.
"Ok now let go to bed." I said climbing on the edge of my bed.
I yawn as I get ready to sleep. "Heavenly father thank you for today and for not allowing those thugs to kidnap me, thank you for tomorrow, let me wake up in peace amen."
It was twenty minutes past four in the morning when I woke up.
"Let go selfie."
I took my bath, dressed in a turtle neck gown, I picked up my bag and a few other things that I needed. Least I forget, the flowers I wanted to give miss Luke.
"Oh there it is." I carried it outside, knocked on Mrs Luke door and delivered it to her.
"Lovely flowers." She said, how long has someone given me this. "You are making me blush, thank you my dear." she said as she collected the flowers.
"It's the least I can do." I smiled. "I have to get going bye." I said as I turned to leave.
I'm supposed to be at the restaurant by seven o'clock in the morning. "Wait! what is the time" I shouted like a mad woman in the middle of the corridor, I heard someone shout back telling me to keep it low. "oops sorry."
It just five minutes to six in the morning i still have thirty minutes before I go to the restaurant. Wait should I get going or should I stay back at home.
"I haven't gone through all this just to go back inside, let go selfie" I raised my hands up like some super heroine, yeah I can be super dramatic at times, This time my voice was low so as to not disturb anyone.
I jogged to the bus station, got in after waiting for like fifteen minutes and my journey began to the restaurant.
As soon as I got to the restaurant, A man grabbed me by my arms. "I like you." he said.
'Hmm I don't even know you, let go of me idiot.' I said in my mind. "Sorry sir I think you made a mistake I don't even know you." I gave an awkward smile then freed myself.
"Sorry you are right, I got the wrong person." he said rubbing his neck awkwardly I think we are in the same situation, he is ashamed that he has confessed his love to someone else and I'm not okay with someone unknown grabbing my arm. I excused myself before the situation turn out worse.
Surprisingly the restaurant was opened already and staffs were inside, ok that weird. I bowed my head, greeting everyone inside, maybe they are the old staffs that know how the place works I guessed.
"Good day everyone as you all know you are starting your job today" A young man in a gray suit addressed every one present well I should be thankful that i adviced myself to come early.
"I would like to give you all the protocol this restaurant follows I know not every one is here..."
'It is a good thing you know.' I interrupted him in my mind, he continued his boring speech then handed us some paper which consist of the rules we should all follow. Mhm such a boring person.
Finally it's seven o'clock, work commence, two people joined the staff crew.
There was a hell lot of people in the restaurant within an hour maybe because the restaurant was famous in the city, considering the structure of the restaurant, it was only half filled. Exaggerating I would say there is like up to two hundred people here because they were too much. I didn't get to be going from table to table as I was one of the attendant at the front row so I only get to attend to people who enter the building and direct them to the empty spaces.
Thankfully my work was not all stressful but I am to stand as the job required. I have a partner who introduced herself to me as Luis Manner.
She was friendly to me, we ended up talking about her any free time where but we were careful not to be caught talking on duty since it seems like the boss was a strict person.
Out of all the staff here, like seriously the waitresses are the one's trying the most because it is not easy to be walking up and down without resting, collecting orders from customers, moving from one floor to another, literally they will need to sleep once they get home but then even my job was not easy.
Standing has made my legs numb, like seriously this is like a punishment to me.
I finally got to end my shift by two in the afternoon, My legs are so numb I don't think I'll be able to walk, I checked out, grab my things and got set, ready to leave.
My partner, Luis was leaving when I got out, it seems like she was used to this job because unlike me she's walking fine.
I was walking like an old man or let me say more like a disabled person because of the pain shooting up from my legs to my waist.
My previous job was better than this, My legs are not willing to work with my brain.
I was clearly staggering like a drunkard and I knew it.
"Hey miss get out of the way" A man shouted at me.
"Oops sorry I'm tired" I replied smiling like a fool even the man was looking at me like I'm one.
I went to the bus stop, boarded a bus and ready to go home.
"Gosh I'm so tired." Resting my head on the bus window I took a nap.
"Miss."
"Ummm what?." I answered still wanting to continue my nap.
"Hmmm you are sleeping on my arm and it is time for me to go now."
"Oh sorry I was carried away." I raised my head up to see him, he packed his stuffs and got off the bus.
Okay like seriously that was embarrassing, thankfully I still had five minutes to get off the bus so I had not overslept.
I took out my phone from my bag to check how my face looked like.
I only have line mark on my face, I can use my hair to cover that problem solved, I adjusted my hair a little to cover the line.
Stupid! stupid! stupid! how could I sleep on his arm, at least he was considerate enough not to wake me until he had to leave.
I stretched a little, adjusting my crumbled dress 'gosh I want to sleep so badly.'
After a while, I got off the bus, reaching my destination.
I was so dizzy when I got to my place, with all the stairs and everything.
I decided not to stress myself, I need to sleep but a warm bath will do.
I got in my bathtub after taking off my clothes and everything.
I feel like they had sapped life out of me.Damn those people for stressing me out if not for the good pay I would have quit.
