Lu Niange looked and looked, then, with a smirk playing about his lips, let out a chill, low laugh, and stuffed Jian Chenxi's phone back into her hand with a mocking tone, "Well done, learning to install a tracking system!"
Jian Chenxi subconsciously assumed that Lu Niange was angry. It had been a long while since she had seen him, and she wanted to have a proper conversation, not wanting him to be angry. Even if it were just a peaceful exchange like strangers with a simple "How are you?" "I'm fine, and you?" she would have been content.
"Niange, please, don't be angry," Jian Chenxi struggled to muster, finally managing to utter such a sentence: "I won't do it again in the future."
Lu Niange looked as if he'd heard some amusing joke, a self-mocking laugh escaping him. After he finished laughing, he stared intently into Jian Chenxi's eyes and said calmly, "I'm not angry."
He meant it.
He wasn't angry.
