Chapter 24 - Chapter 34: Massacre of Gladstone Village III

"Bro! I told you to be more open-minded." A man in a white robe walked towards James with a tight smile, placing his arms around James' neck. He looked exhausted, maybe exhausted because James keeps disrespecting the nobles he is assigned to. The level of disrespect James would give to those nobles, one would even suspect James was the Notorious Noble Butcher, a serial killer that targets evil nobles and kills them in the most inhumane, humiliating ways. He is wanted all around the capital, especially after the Duke Mansion Escapades, the greatest insult to the nobles. Since then, the notorious noble butcher has been hunted and wanted. Though his status as a serial killer, commoners were said to have been inspired by this butcher, causing many skilled copycats to emerge into existence. These copycats later banded together to be called the Notnobu Guild, an organization that takes commissions and assassination requests regarding nobles. It was said that they tried to kill and eradicate the Notnobu Guild members, but failed miserably. Since then, the guild has acted freely and brazenly, catching the attention of the royal family. During a brief of this case, James had brazenly said that he supported the notorious noble killer, causing so much hate and scrutiny from some of the leaders of the Sanctuary. This had been the first meeting he had had with James, marking the beginning of their friendship. This attitude of James, which gives him more paperwork, He sighed.

"Lord Sebastian is a noble, you know how those noble bastards are."James nodded in understanding. He knew he had caused this friend of his many troubles before due to his attitude and actions towards nobles, --But those bastards really deserved it-- James thought. But he knew how crazed Sebastian was. Sebastian Circe, one and only heir to the infamous Baron Circe of the Circe Household, James didn't know who was the problem, Baron Circe or his son Sebastian, but He knew that they were not much trouble. He had read their investigation file on the Circe Household in Sanctuary. Though Sebastian may have been quite a colorful heir, he was one to suck up to the strong and bully the weak. James had read that Sebastian had some really interesting activities.--Disgusting-- James thought. Though Sebastian was the best among the worst of the nobles, [one needn't look much at the exterior], a famous writer once said. As for why Sebastian Circe had graced himself with his noble visage, well, one could say that his child caught up to him. James snorted, shaking his head. Baron Circe had caught wind of his son's copulative escapades and decided to send him her to get rid of the threat in Gladstone village. James knew that the reason Sebastian was punished wasn't because of his sensual activities. But because his son had impregnated a common, He read in a file that the Baron had fumed, almost destroying his entire barony with just his aura. This was because in the laws of the Solarian Empire, any man, noble or commoner, who had impregnated a woman of any status, they would have to be married or taken into the dominant household. Any aggression towards the pregnant woman or child was punishable by a fate far worse than death. Baron Circe, a firm believer in the purity of noble and royal bloodlines, was furious about this news. Unable to harm the child or its mother, decided to set his sights on his son. Sending him here as punishment. --Wait a minute, am I also being punished?-- James thought as he was going about the info of Sebastian in his head. --Whatever, let's get this done with anyway. I don't have much time anyway-- What confused James the most wasn't Sebastian. Sebastian frowned as he watched a blonde, fair lady with colorful flowers embroidered on her straight white dress, her bloated stomach showing that she clearly looked like she was pregnant, sitting on a horse with an innocent expression. James' expression darkened.--Baron Circe, What are you up to?--

In the middle of a forest where light shone brightly, a beacon of excitement to all things crawling, creeping, climbing, and walking. An encirclement of five tents was mounted together, people conversing heartily, a moan passed through the air.

"Hmm!.. Lord Sebastian…. Please go soft….The baby," a woman moaned in a hushed voice. Her voice echoed from the latter tent of the encirclement.

"Haha! Don't worry about the kid. An activity of such weak vigor won't surely hurt a child of my bloodline". He said with excitement evident in his voice. The tent shuffled, the silhouette of the source of these bashful sounds intertwining with the dance of the night, followed by a sharp scream and extra muffles. A man sat in the middle of the encirclement, fire flashing before his eyes, as his ear perked up at the sounds of evident copulation. "Those noble bastards," he cursed, as he continued to stare at the beautiful, curated pot of soup, boiling on the fire. Moans filled his ears as he tried his best to ignore whatever the hell he was hearing or what he thought he was hearing. He turned to look at a familiar shadow leaning on a tree behind the encirclement, A man in a white cloak, leaning against a large tree, his face covered by a white cloth. The only thing that was exposed was his golden eyes that seemed to have a sort of rhythmic glow with his golden cross. The man had never seen such a large tree before, no, scratch that, all the trees in this forest seem to be abnormally big. --That's not right!, I used to pass here frequently. Why does it seem like the forest has grown in such a short time? -- The cook thought about this abnormality.

"James", the cook called as he handed James his bowl of soup. "Can you please call Lord Sebastian? It is quite inconvenient to keep a low profile with all the commotion he is making," the cook smiled awkwardly. He knew if he was to disturb Lord Sebastian's sword-drawing endeavors, he would be implicated. The cook who had served in the Circe Household naturally knew of Lord Sebastian's infamous activities. Only when he had witnessed the actions of Sebastian's activities himself did he come to one stark realization: Nobles were really to be feared. Sebastian had an uncanny prone to anger, taking it out on anyone who was at the moment on the receiving side of his resentment. He was also known to recklessly kill people he deemed his enemies or [not up to par with his aesthetics], always choosing the wrong people, leaving his enemies behind. He was a certified noble; others would always praise him….

Sigh! James placed his food on the log where the cook sat, cutting the cook from his thoughts. James marched off to Sebastian's tent. After a moment of hard shuffles, a startled scream was heard through the encampment as James poked his head out, slowly emerging from the tent holding Sebastian by the back of his throat, dragging him on the ground. James then turned towards the entrance of the tent and bowed down, walking towards the cook, dragging along a naked Sebastian. James then rose Sebastian up and shoved him towards the cook, only a hair's breadth from the fire. Sebastian panicked as he crawled back continuously in fear, hitting the back of the log. He then turned to look at the log in his path, only to be faced with a pair of golden eyes staring at him with only one desire. 'Killing Intent'.
