After I asked Darsna to show her Pokémon, she agreed, so we went to the garden since the hall wasn't a good spot to call out Pokémon.
"Wait a minute. Can I call my Pokémon?"
"Yes, you can, but why?" Darsna asked.
"He wants to become a Pokémon trainer, senior."
"Oh, so you want your Pokémon to idolize my Pokémon to grow stronger."
"Ah, well, that's not correct."
"Hmm, it's not?"
"Yeah. I want them to see your Pokémon as opponents so they can surpass them."
After I said this, there was complete silence. Everyone was looking at me as if I had said something they didn't understand.
"Hahaha, you may be normal in some aspects, but just like your mom, you're even stranger than her in some ways" Darsna said, laughing.
"So, will you?"
"No one's ever said something like this to me, and I'm sure it hasn't been said to any of the Elite Four members in any region. Sure, bring your Pokémon and show them their future opponents," Darsna said.
I brought all of my Pokémon, including the eggs, to show them their future opponents, even though three of them couldn't see anything.
After they all arrived, Darsna took out her Pokémon: a Dragalge, an Altaria, a Druddigon, a Noivern, and the other two turned out to be a Salamence and a Charizard.
"Let me show them something that will get them more fired up," Darsna said before adding, "Now Altaria, Mega Evolve." Her Charizard Mega Evolved in front of us.
All of my Pokémon were surprised as Altaria Mega Evolved.
"Look, guys, these are your future opponents." As I said this, I felt the egg in my hands heating up and emitting light.
After some time, the light dimmed, and the egg began to crack.
"Froakie." A Froakie emerged from the egg and landed in my arms. After looking at the Mega Altaria, it jumped out of my arms, stood in front of Darsna's pokemon, and started staring at them.
"Oh my, it looks like your Pokémon is ready to battle, even though it just hatched out of its egg," Darsna said with a smile on her face.
"So am I, Froakie," I said as I called it back. "Let's beat him together."
"Froakie." Froakie nodded after hearing me and jumped toward Charizard, which surprised everyone.
"Froakie!" It shot a Water Pulse attack at Charizard, but he dodged it before it could hit.
"Froakie, you can't attack like this. First, you have to ask them for a battle."
"Froakie." It looked toward me, as if it understood what I said.
"My, what a surprise? A Froakie that just hatched used water pulse." Darsna said
"Is it that big of a deal?" I asked
"It is. Usually, pokemon like Froakie are very easy going and likes to have fun but it's beyond that. Your Froakie used water pulse that can only be used after training. The first move of Froakie line is usually pound or bubble" Dad explained
"Maybe it acquired this move during it's breeding"
"Maybe"
"Anyways, are you challenging me to a battle? If so, then first make your pokemon stronger. You won't be able to beat me at this level of strength"
"I will," I said, looking toward Froakie as it looked at me. "And when we have an official battle, I promise we'll beat you," I added in the heat of the moment.
"Froakie."
"It looks like your Pokémon agrees with your words," Darsna said, still smiling.
"Okay, let's do this. When you enter the Kalos League, after the finals are over, I will battle with these six of my Pokémon, and you can choose any five of your Pokémon, but the sixth has to be Froakie, or his evolved form" Darsna said.
"I accept," I agreed, not wanting to back down from my first challenge.
"Okay, so now," Darsna spoke, "It's time for us to eat, isn't it?" She said, changing the subject completely.
"Ah, yes, it is," my mom said, still confused about what had just happened.
.
After all this, we went back inside to eat, and this time the Pokémon also came in. They were given Pokéfood according to their type.
"By the way, Sid, here's your birthday present," Dad said, handing me a box.
"Thanks, Dad."
"I just gave you my gift," Mom said.
"Hm, what was that, Mom?"
"The dress you're wearing and the heels.
Oh wait, I forgot something," Mom said before getting up.
She went to my back and put a necklace on me.
"Now the necklace looks even more beautiful."
"Wait, the necklace?" I asked, as the necklace was already beautiful. It was a lovely flared blue butterfly necklace.
"No matter what you put on, it will look good on you because you're more beautiful," Mom replied.
"As much as I hate to say it, in this one, I agree with your mom. If I had a grandson, I would have made a proposal for him to you for marriage," Darsna said.
"But you have a granddaughter, Senior," Mom spoke.
"Yeah, so how about we marry both of them?" Darsna suggested.
.
It looks like both women started their own talk about my marriage, and I'm wondering if I can give my opinion since they're talking about me.
I tried to ignore them as they continued talking about various things, like grandchildren, etc.
As I kept trying to ignore them, my focus shifted to Froakie. It looked like he was having a staring contest with Darsna's pokemon while ignoring the food in front of him. I got up from my seat and picked Froakie up in my arms.
"I know you want to get stronger and battle, but if you don't eat, you're going to get weaker. So let's eat." I said, starting to feed him.
After feeding him, I saw several jealous glances coming from my Pokémon, so in the end, I ended up feeding every one of them by hand.
.
After the party was over, we took a photo with everyone. After saying goodbye to Darsna, I went with my Pokémon to say goodnight to them since it was already nighttime. After leaving them, I went back into the house.
"Sid, honey, I'm going."
"Okay, have a safe trip."
"Where are you going, Dad?"
"Ah, I forgot to tell you. I have an important meeting in Sinnoh tomorrow."
"You know, Dad, sometimes I think that Mom is right. You can't remember anything."
"Not you too."
"He's just stating facts."
Sigh
"I can't with this mother-daughter duo."
"Dad, I'm a boy, and you can't say that you forgot."
After feeding him, I saw various jealous gazes on froakie which were comming from my pokemon so in the end, I ended up feeding every one of my pokemon by my hands.
"Dad, I'm a boy, and you can't say that you forgot."
"No, I didn't. It was called payback," Dad said before dashing out of the house.
