One by one, everyone stepped out of the portal, and the first thing that greeted them was the scent of blood in the air. They looked around and saw the ground dyed crimson, stained with blood and littered with limbs, heads, and headless corpses. There were deep gashes from weapons and small craters in the ground.
"You are late," a slightly irritated voice rang out, and everyone looked toward the figure.
"Oh, it hasn't been long since we met again, has it, Seventh Elder? I'm not sure I feel any goodwill toward my captor," the commander said with a grin. Yes, this was the Seventh Elder of the Zhang Family who had escorted him to prison.
"Hmph, that was the plan, and I was gentle," the Seventh Elder snorted.
"Heh, if we weren't from the same faction, I would have at least given you a thorough beating first," the commander sneered.
"Anyway, do you remember your task?" the Seventh Elder said in a serious voice.
