Strong winds blew, and gray clouds moved toward the Sea of Japan. The girl, Akemi, spoke to the clouds, "Where is my sister? I don't see her."
The gray cloud replied, "We are over the Sea of Japan. Look down at the blue of the sea."
Akemi said, "What a beautiful sight. Chino pilot, look! Do you like the view? Why don't you speak? Are you afraid of heights? It looks just like the picture. How did you become a pilot?"
The gray cloud said, "The wind took a big part of me and carried it away. You, girl, ride a small part of my cloud and get ready. The red cloud will take you. I don't know if you will return to us—the blue-gray cloud—and whether we will form again, with the rain falling and carrying you with it, or if the whole world will remain red."
Akemi cried, saying, "I don't want to live in a red world. I want my sister."
The gray cloud replied, "Do not fail. You must succeed in your mission. You are the bearer of peace. Nuclear bombs must be prevented. Farewell, my dear friend."
"Goodbye, pilot. We used to reflect your image, but after a few moments, all hopes tied to you will disappear."
Akemi said, "My sister won't leave me alone."
The gray cloud said, "You still have a little piece to help you ride. Just be brave."
The girl, Akemi, entered the red clouds and saw inside:
Fire and smoke
Smoke from wars
Intense heat from the sun
Smoke from falling drones
Swarms of smoke from warplanes invading the airspace
Volcano smoke
Radiation from nuclear plants
"Impossible! This Earth is still alive?" the girl cried. "It could explode at any moment!"
