The nanny opened the door and politely began, "Are you looking for…"
Before she could finish her sentence, she was pushed aside by the visitor. That visitor, of course, was Chen Yang.
"You?" Pan Xue jumped to her feet, flinging her chair aside. She pointed at Chen Yang and shrieked, "What are you doing in my house? Get out, now!"
For some reason, her heart tightened, and a dreadful premonition washed over her.
Pan Hong's voice was stern. "Xue'er, is that any way to speak?"
Chen Yang said nothing. He leisurely took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a light drag. Only then did he lift his head slightly, his expressionless face turned toward Pan Xue.
Perhaps out of guilt, Pan Xue shivered under his intense gaze.
Pan Hong raised an eyebrow, clearly displeased that Chen Yang was smoking in his home. He asked in a flat tone, "We already talked this afternoon. What, have you changed your mind?"
In his mind, Chen Yang had likely come to his senses and was now hoping for his help.
