Trent Marsh opened his eyes.
The world before him had completely changed.
No neon lights from the city, no fragrant car exhausts, and no towering skyscrapers!
In front of him stood an ancient castle.
Trent Marsh turned around, and behind him was a tightly closed city gate.
The gate had guards stationed there.
He looked down and saw a path made of stone beneath his feet.
"Hello, I wanted to ask…"
Before Trent Marsh could finish his sentence, the gatekeeper interrupted him.
"This is Skilid City, Mr. Marsh, please proceed. Our City Lord is just inside."
The guards didn't even glance at him, speaking woodenly.
The entire gate area was empty.
Besides Trent Marsh, there were just these two guards.
The three of them felt cold and desolate.
"Interesting. Just a moment ago, I was eating gruel, and now I've somehow arrived in Skilid City."
Despite feeling a bit surprised, Trent Marsh wasn't afraid, having been through a lot in his life; he was only a little curious.
