As grey was being dragged through the portal this time he felt more than just a cold chill running through his fur.
This time he felt the very space vibrate weirdly for an instant.
The next second he flew out back at the same spot he left a few weeks ago.
"Hmm guess Jade and Ted are doing something right now, Damm."
He immediately started to focus on his ears and found them talking about some plot of land near a running body of water.
"There they are! …what are they doing?" Grey said confused as he immediately used what he was taught thanks to the wright family and moved at extreme speeds running in front of them in a moment.
"Woah… what the hell was that don't go around scaring folks just appearing out of nowhere." Jade said clearly startled by his abrupt and silent appearance.
Ted just laughed loudly for a bit "speaking of you what do you think of this area here. Jades been helping find a nice piece of land in my territory for your family."
Grey looked at Jade warmly after hearing she was helping him even when he was away.
"It it'sss not like that dummy… I just wanted to do something and there isn't much to do… yeah it's not like I feel like I owe you or anything." She huffed and slithered away into Ted's shadow looking embarrassed.
Grey looked around and the area was nice on this of the river was nothing but hills with a big cave in the distance while on the other side of the river was a small forest. "This place is nice and it's big enough to fit three or more burrows… NO take backs!"
Ted's smug looked immediately disappeared "is that… really all you have to say?"
Grey thought for a moment "hmm Oh yeah I need that gate stone because I'm going to head home now."
Jade popped out from behind Ted clearly shocked "what can I come I could be a big help i'm very strong."
Grey just shook his head "I'm much faster on my own and I gotta stop by the golden fang Forrest for a meeting was some beast I know but I have to sprint home for it's almost the third moon cycle and scarlet said they will attack on the third or fourth."
Jade just stared him down for a few seconds before relenting "fine but come here so I can connect to your shadow and appear when you need me."
Grey nodded and she stretched her shadow to link to his. After a bit she coiled around in a odd looking hug "stay safe and go save your family."
Grey was kinda shocked at this but just let happen as he nodded "yeah"
"Ahem I hope I'm not interrupting but here is your mist gate stone it works just like your golden haze you store it in your dreams and summon it when you want it." Ted said with a weird smile trying to say something.
They awkwardly parted as grey took the stone "thanks guys I'll be back soon." He said as he ran off into the distance.
"When a positive young… HEY! It's the other way idiot!" Ted just seemed even more tired than usaual as grey ran passed them again apologizing Disappearing into the night.
Back at near the wrights estate Lily unsummoned Adam due to lack of mana for unlike grey he took a lot of energy to maintain making her weak physically.
Hugo helped her to her feet before she fell from exhaustion. Lily looked around almost dazed "why is the area so undamaged? Every time I trained with grey his sound attacks always caused some destruction no matter what he did."
Her father just smiled "That because I had him learn some origin techniques that my master taught me."
Lily looked shocked "You Mean the origin techniques taught to those without runes to enhance their bodies and learn the artificial trait Storage! …How? …When? Isn't that a secret technique hated by most powerful mages."
Flos and Hugo just laughed obnoxiously for a few seconds before wiping away tears of joy "My lady the creator Steve origins made this technique so all who were born without runes like he was, could fight alongside mages and while they exactly like our methods they respect it as it allows for the body itself to be pushed pass its limits and as a chimera, grey has a lot of room for growth."
"OoooO" she finally understood he fought against Adam with only his speed and his disc while using his sound rune to track Adam's location downs.

On the other side of the world a tall six feet something dark elf with muscles that made him look more like a gorilla than an elf walked calmly through a forest looking at the view.
He scratched his beard as his blue eyes gazed upon the setting sun. "It's a beautiful view don't you think so guys."

Steve just smiled "you say that but you don't belong here either. My friend tell me you have some time troubles~" he said mockingly
The area around him started dying as darkness spread from his feet. "YOU DARE! I'll end this entire planets missables life. As for you you think your making a change. Ha, no your name isn't even remembered and your race will be nothing but myths just accept your death."
Two creatures of smoking black mist with white light for eyes surrounded Steve creating a triangle formation. The abyssal claws just stared blankly at Steve waiting for orders.
Steve's smile just widened "come on abstract if you really hate this planet so much just leave why drag us down. The only reason you attack us so called anomaly's is because we can change the very future and have the potential to stop your masters plan, why else would you try recruiting them."
The cloaked abstract face twisted beneath his hood. He suddenly split off into three hundred copies some started flying and controlling light while the other half started amassing darkness around them.
They all spoke in unison "we will take your corpse and use it to kill your wife and family"
Steve's smile fell quickly as his eyes flickered from their beautiful blue to a glowing white.
He quickly shook his head as he angrily stated "no buddy, I'm going to kill most of them and make them suffer you get the other half I want them to feel it."
Steve's eyes stopped blinking resting on their dazzling blue. "This is going to hurt all of you"
The next he was covered in a black armor with pulsing purple vein as he summoned an entire tree and threw it at the ones flew as if it was a spear and jumped towards the ones on the ground with two bone white great swords quickly killing nine abstracts in less than two seconds.
They all immediately attacked him bombarding him form a distance.
An hour later the once beautiful forest was now a flat land with uprooted trees missing, broken armors and weapons of all kinds all over the place and bloody bodies of white cloaked people all over the destroyed lands.
Steve sat in a crater in some sort of damaged blood soaked scaled armor and a chipped golden trident. His face and was bruised and only his nose was bleeding.
He stood up slowly stepping on one of the now dead abyssal claws bleeding white paying it no mind he looked up and started counting. "One forty eight, nine and… Damm I was one off from half. Welp we can swap out after one more kill buddy."
The abstract look exhausted but the sight of Steve's blood exited them all for some inexplicable reason.
But the one moment of excitement was all Steve need as ran forward disappearing from their sight popping the nearest head he could find with his bare hands.
Steve's smile grew even wider even though he was badly injured "you threatened Our wife now be ready to truly suffer."
The next moment his eyes glow as his face became a grimace of silent anger and his muscles compressed making him look like a very athletic dark elf that has never been in a fight.
His voice now echoed "Let the veil of suffering commence." He snapped his fingers as a black dome covered the entire forest and all the dead abstracts and the dead abyssal claw slowly stood up no matter how damaged they were.
The abstracts looked around in pure horror and confusion "how this shouldn't be possible they aren't true corpses.
The next moment Steve teleported behind a seemingly random abstract in a crowd "Your the original one that threatened our wife I have bee. watching you carefully
He grabbed his neck to stop him from running as the sky became cloudy the abstract just looked at Steve's now empty eyes and for a moment he saw a microscope circle filled with runes changing every moment.
"What the hel—AAÆÆÆÆ" before he could complete his sentence an unholy amount of lightning struck his body.
Steve just stared the now falling ashes. "Hmm interesting all clones are in a hive mind making all of them the original. What a stupid thing to do let me show you true power is after connecting all your pain to each other."
immediately after he waved his hand and they all stopped moving "shii" explosions of flame, boiling water, thunder and light rung out and a cry from all of them as they all felt the pain from dying from every possible element.
And the ones not being only crouched down in pain from the other as some zombies started to slowly eat away at them add more pain to the mix.
The last abyssal claw flew from the crater and into the dome while throwing a weird looking blade the cut through allowing it to escape.
Steve look at this and clicked his tongue in anger "he not only escaped with some of our blood but for a moment I sensed another abstract linking with the hive for a moment."
Steve's blue eyes returned "It's okay Brian I'm sure we made him suffer greatly, but for now we are heading home." Steve slowly lifted himself up before walking off.
In a faraway cave a man in a pink cloak was walking down some stairs with a book in a private library when he suddenly fell down screaming in pure agony the whole way down
His eyes glowed pure red as he popped a vein out of pure stress. A moment later he laid on the ground drooling and passed out as his white pants slowly became yellow.
