At the same time, the various Sovereigns were staring down at Ace in complete and utter disbelief.
It had to be remembered that there were two things that made Sovereigns so powerful. One was their Sovereign Power, which was the purified fusion of Divine Power and Spiritual Essence, but the other was precisely their exaggerated Willpower.
A Lesser Sovereign, even without becoming a paragon of their chosen Law or Edict, would be blessed with 20 units of Willpower, and yet Ace, with the help of his Divine Ability, had 10.
Although the weakest of Sovereigns still had twice as much as Ace, they were Sovereigns, and Ace was merely a Demi-God.
Looking at his lone yet seemingly invincible figure, for the first time in billions of years, many of the Sovereigns felt a genuine hint of threat.
It was right then, though, that Phueus attempted to take advantage of their distraction. He tore the space of the Planar Battlefield, preparing to forcibly enter and kill Ace himself. Unfortunately for him, whilst most were distracted by Ace's peerless display of power, Bluefire and Augusta weren't!
Both Sovereigns, one Lesser and one Chief took action at the same time. Neither held back as they attacked Phueus with genuine intent to kill.
Unfortunately for them, with his secrets already having been exposed, Phueus no longer had any reason to hold back; as such, not only did he use Muyan's fused divine power, enhanced by his own Sovereign Power, but he also used Muyan's four additional portions of will to further enhance his might.
Still, what really took them all by surprise was the ghastly apparition that manifested in the sky behind him.
Others may not have recognised it immediately, but all those from the Yulan Plane immediately understood that Phueus really did have the Visual Manifestation of the Viz Clan. Although it appeared to be a fairly weak one compared to Ace and Amira's, it was a genuine visual manifestation that seemed to increase the might of Phueus's sovereign power by 10%.
10% might not sound like a lot, but for an expert like a Paragon-level Chief Sovereign, it was more than enough to completely turn the tables.
Phueus managed to send both Bluefire and Augusta – another Chief Sovereign who also utilised a genuine Overgod sword – flying with a single attack, causing both men to cough mouthfuls of blood. Especially Bluefire, who looked to be on his last legs after that one attack.
Seeing that, Phueus didn't display any pleasure at his overwhelming display of power; instead, he took one final hate-filled look at Ace before roaring unwillingly and escaping as far and as fast as possible.
The other Sovereigns watched Phueus flee, none bothering to chase after him. The moment Phueus erupted with all of his strength, many prepared to take action, preparing to use the sanctity of the Planar Wars as justification to get rid of Phueus in one go. Even Wodred, the Chief Sovereign of Destruction who had previously been on his side – was no exception.
Orloff could only sigh. He had previously been regarded as the most powerful Sovereign, but he had to admit his inferiority. If he were to take Phueus on one-on-one, he wouldn't be a match at all.
Still, that was only in a one-on-one. With so many Sovereigns ready and willing to act against Phueus, the Chief Sovereign of Darkness was right to flee with his tail between his legs. If he hadn't, death would've been the only thing waiting for him.
At the same time, Ace, who was standing over Muyan's barely conscious body, stared up at the giant hole in the sky where Phueus had just been with a giant sneer. He had heard Phueus' unwilling and hate-filled roar, but he didn't care.
Phueus had been the one to target him first; as such, he didn't care that his next action would further antagonise him.
He calmly pierced his spear into Muyan's skull, completely incinerating the soul of the former strongest deity.
As he did so, Ace felt something curious coming from Muyan's skull. It didn't take more than a second for Ace to realise that the Muyan in front of him was only one of his divine clones; Muyan still had another divine clone out there.
But that was when Ace sneered at Muyan/Phueus' arrogance. Using Muyan's remaining spiritual essence as something of a conduit, Ace was able to tell that Muyan had actually brought all of his clones into the Planar War with him, probably believing that there was no deity capable of standing against him.
Ace's body suddenly teleported away, moving to track the remaining two bodies of Muyan and kill them too.
Seeing Ace leave without paying either of them any attention, Lozarn and Ballmer suddenly sighed in relief, believing that they had spared. Unfortunately, they turned around, preparing to fly as far away as possible, only to find one grim reaper had left only for another to take his place.
Amira led the rest of their group to the location of the battlefield only to find that Ace had already left, only leaving the two paragon-level emissaries of Phueus.
Amira was about to take action when Leona said she wanted to do the honours as it would allow her to progress.
Hearing that, Amira and the others merely nodded and let her go ahead.
At the same time, Lozarn and Balmer thought they were being underestimated and looked down on – the last time they saw her, although impressive power as an Apex Divine Beast whose comprehension of the Edict of Destruction had reached the commander level, that was all there was to it.
Back then, Leona's Fire-type Divine Clone had still only been a Full God; as such, she hadn't been able to reveal her fused divine power without her overall power taking a hit, but now…
With Leona becoming a paragon in the laws of Fire, both her fire and destruction-type divine power was once again at the same level, and between that and all her other abilities, she was able to make quick work of her two opponents, before swallowing their divine sparks.
Although it didn't allow her to break through again, her comprehension of the Edict of Destruction reached its limits. One more commander-level divine spark of destruction, and she would be able to become a paragon for her second law.
As for the Balmer's Divine Fire Spark, she had decisively used it to further her comprehension of her fused divine power. It had barely done anything more than a fraction of a fraction of a percent, but progress was still progress.
At the same time, the various Sovereigns in the skies watched Leona in disbelief. They couldn't help but wonder when becoming a paragon was so easy.
They knew that Ace may have been the most monstrous of the group, but each and every single one of them was a monster in their own right – a fact that only served to make the group all the more dangerous in their eyes.
At the same time, Ace had already tracked down and killed another of Muyan's three bodies, leaving it with only one left.
He quickly found it, and as one would expect from someone staring death in the face, he tried to bargain with Ace. Even offering to let bygones be bygones and never bother Ace or his friends again. Unfortunately, he had already passed the point of no return in Ace's eyes.
After killing, Ace met up with the rest of his group before proceeding to watch the rest of the final battle, which would draw a close to the Planar War.
Ace knew that he was supposed to be on the side of the Divine Light Plane due to the trial set for him by Augusta, but firstly, he had done more than enough to weaken the side of the Divine Darkness Plane – if the Light Plane's forces still couldn't win, with them still having two paragons, the experts of the Divine Light Plane should just kill themselves now. Especially as Ace and his group had killed all three of the Divine Darkness Plane's side's paragons, but the Divine Light Plane still had two paragons taking part.
And second, he was tired of being forced to do things Sovereigns. He may not have the strength to directly oppose even the weakest of them yet, but he and his group finally had the power to face one when working together, and they were only going to get stronger from here on out.
It was time they took control back into their own hands, and that would start with the events that took place after the Planar Wars.
Ace's group watched from their vantage point as the Divine Light's Army won overwhelmingly, decisively bringing an end to the Planar War.
With that, Ace smiled confidently as he stared up at the sky, as though he could see the lofty Sovereigns waiting in chaotic space as though they were preparing to pass judgment on him.
He took Amira's hand in his own as he looked at his friends and family, both new and old and asked if they were ready.
None of them knew what was about to happen, but they all had long since learned to trust Ace.
Seeing that, Ace calmly tore the void and led his group out, a confident smile tugging at his lips as he greeted all of the Sovereigns.
