Unlike Jonah, who was so strong that I couldn't fathom his level of strength, Stryker and his guys were close to my level so I was able to understand the greatness of what they were doing. I ended up feeling more of a respect for someone I could understand rather than towards someone who was far above my level.
"Excuse me sir, but how are you so strong? I'm sure you're not one of those Hani users, so how is it possible to be that skilled?"
From within the dark, Stryker responded.
"Why might you be asking that kind of question? It doesn't seem as if you're that bad yourself, considering you were able to block that shot. What are you?"
"What might you mean sir?"
I made my voice sound nervous, a skill I had learnt from my two years spent faking every moment.
Stryker snickered.
"Don't be so nervous, it's just a normal question. Why were you assigned here? And don't try to act anymore, it couldn't fool anyone with any actual experience."
