Nini carefully closed her homework notebook, shut her eyes, stretched her arms up high, and let out a big yawn. "Ah~! Finally done, that was so hard, my head hurts."
After neatly putting her notebook and pencil case into her backpack, Nini thought for a moment, then walked over to the big, fat monitor and gently pressed a square button.
"Beep~!" Accompanied by a crackling sound, the screen lit up. She didn't insert a tape, but instead picked up a copper key and stuck it into the hole on the right side of the TV, turning it.
Soon, on the snowy, flickering screen, a new image appeared. It was the latest TV program, which in Nini's mind was just an endless tape recording that could go from morning to night without ever stopping.
The screen showed the docks of different islands, navy sailors from each island tearfully saying goodbye to their families and running off toward the warships at the dock.
