Seeing the family in the distance glance over, Johnson picked up a spoon from the thick soup and smacked it on his face. "What, you think this is the brothel in the Dock District? Show some damn restraint!"
The others were Hope Island natives, but they were Outer Islanders—in case trouble started, even an idiot could guess the Sheriff would take the locals' side.
"That's all for now, thank you." Lily handed the menu back to the waiter, then turned to gaze at the distant warships, her eyes full of longing.
"Lily, stop staring. About what I mentioned a few days ago, have you given it any thought?" Jennifer the Doctor, sporting a pair of small mustaches, asked her daughter.
Lily immediately pulled a face. "Dad, give me a break, will you? I really have no plans to get married right now."
