Entering the arena again, the Spider Queen Death was actually quite pleased to know that the volcano was back up. She thanked the Faeries for learning the dance so quickly.
The Faeries wanted to learn more dances to have fun. The Spider Queen Death felt that it would not be fair to cause mass destruction across the Realms.
She also did not know what their homeland looked like. She decided to allow the Faeries to try and learn them in their homeland but not to use it here unless it was an emergency.
The Shadow Commander received a note stating that the fire pool was back up and ready to receive the informants.
Five fighters were selected for the next day. Only the Shadow Commander was present when talking to them about what the plan was.
They were fuming that he wanted only one at a time but when he explained that they are the true evil within the Shadow People. They shut up and listened carefully.
"Each day, 5 people will be selected. Each day only one person from their side will lose. I do not know how they are planning to have their lost or have the fights selected.
Do not go overboard and try to kill any of them. Do not try to underestimate them either. Either one will cause us to lose one of you.
There will be a ticket like this."
The Shadow Commander showed the barely visible ticket in the open but when he placed it in the shadow of the table everyone could see the sign to declare this one as a safe one to defeat.
Everyone understood and went to retire for the day. Tomorrow would be a big day for the Shadow People both in victory and in death.
Meanwhile
"Come in." Deathholder said to someone knocking on the door.
His butler on his left because he did not want to be apart of this conversation.
Deathholder's son came in. He was confused as to why he was being summoned.
"Grab a chair boy amd sit down on my right." Deathholder spoke.
His son did just that.
"Listen, we have a few captured people of the Shadow People. While talking to the person whom I fought against. The people we were able to defeat were informants and those informants are evil."
Deathholder's son truly considered killing them at the moment.
"Yes, I too wish to kill them. However, we cannot kill them. We will forever be marked by their shadow and those people will just resurrect in their home world explaining their death to their parents whom will go to the Shadow King and explain their child's death.
The cycle will forever continue like so. The biggest advantage we have is that the volcano is back up and running.
The power of your grandmother is with us in the Spider Queen Death. She can easily get the evil people into the volcano and no one would ever know.
I am sure the Shadow Commander will explain what is going to happen. For now, I want you to decide who will be the loser in the fights."
Deathholder's son was shocked that so much responsibility was being put on his shoulders. Of course, he also had to give a good reason has to why the one he selects loses.
"The arena itself will pay the loser. It may not be grand but I can use some favors to get this payment."
Deathholder's son was shocked but not as much as the butler. He knew that the arena would never allow this unless Deathholder was the one to make it come true.
"My butler, you have truly been with me for a long time. I believe that this will probably be the last command I ever give.
Go to the arena shop and tell them the losers in the upcoming rounds have to get payment for allowing the Shadow People to be releasesd."
The butler nodded because he knew how much the arena hated to give payments. The simple fact that it is coming from Deathholder meant a lot more.
"My son, when the time comes that I have passed. Please ensure to keep my seat has big as possible. It will be a burden yes, now that your grandmother has return to the Heavenly Realm. My heart is finally at peace."
The duo finally realized what kept the man standing at top of the Heavenly Realm. A man who can control pretty much anything he wants cannot always control his own death.
The duo bowed and began their leave. The Spider Queen Death walked in. Her eyes glowed like rubies when opened.
She walked forward. The simplest temple rub made the man flinch like a little child. Her eyes showed the fury within them.
The words were not needed but the feelings that both of them had were real. Deathholder truly felt at peace after such a long time.
"Do not worry my child. For you to live is a simple matter. I know you do not wish to but I can grant you a place and you will eventually return stronger than before." The Spider Queen Death softly spoke.
"It is not a matter of resurrection. I simply wish to finally pass on. Now that I know you truly live. I too wish to be able to live on in people's hearts and minds.
The arena is my home and my place of death should be here. I just wish to see how much of the winning the Shadow People will actually get before I truly pass."
The Spider Queen Death felt a water droplet roll down her face. She had not cried in so long, she could not remember what tears were.
Deathholder seeing the tears knew that he made her upset but he did not want to scar her too much currently.
He gently helped her clear the tears so that she could perform her duties. She too decided to leave and allow him the peace of mind before leaving the Heavenly Realm.
What they did not realize was that the Stairway was currently keeping alive until the finale of the War to see how Rex's women decides to go into the Heavenly Realm.
