When two days had truly passed in the Shadow People's time amd it was only night time within the Realms. They had to call to their King.
This made the King very upset hearing that he was receiving another call from the people who were in wait.
"If this is," the current Shadow King angrily spoke.
"Sire, in the place we want to wage war. Two days have passed in our time. However it has just now become night." All across the Realms the people spoke the same message.
"We are doomed." He thought.
This was not just his thoughts but the thoughts of the people within the Realms as well.
"We shall delay the for another four days. Yes, it will be hard to explain but we have to get the preparation correct on this.
As for you all, I will ensure that you are promoted greatly because this was actually something that needed to be brought to my attention." The King spoke.
Once all of the Shadow People within the Realms thanked him. The communication stopped and three guys came out from the back.
"Do you truly wish to bring new people into the fold?" One of them asked.
"For a short time, yes. However, if they do not live up to expectations. You are free to do as you wish. If they shine like they are supposed to. It will be hard to for all to enjoy that part of your duty." The Shadow King smiled at them as he finished.
The trio smiled back as well but their smiles seemed like serial killers who truly get off by slaughtering thousands upon thousands at a time.
"We are the silent killers whom the Shadow People need. Past, Present, and Future Shadow Kings keep us for that reason." They saluted the Shadow King and left.
The Shadow King went to explain the days in the Realms to the armies that were silently awaiting their orders.
As he overlooked the armies prepared for War. He glanced around and prepared to speak before noticing children running and hugging their parents.
He quietly watched as the parents had already scolded them but thanked them for the efforts to keep them happy.
"Everyone listen," the Shadow King spoke when the children left, "In Six days, we wage War. The reason behind this is actually too scary.
For two days to pass, only a half a day passes there. In short, we would be walking into a great danger of people ready to fight. Heck, even Six days for us and they will still be ready to attack.
I want everyone to visit their families and stay up as long as possible within the two days. If you can honestly make it, we can survive and win. If you cannot, we will lose.
This has been hard on me to accept myself but every messager told me this. If they did lie, they will be punished. If something else can change their timing in there, we will be screwed. The biggest thing to remember is that this War is for US. When we Win, we will have a better home and more resources to grow stronger."
The crowd cheered at the "resources to grow stronger."
"Thank you all greatly. That cheer is what helps me lead us to victory and what you cheer for is what makes you thrive in battle."
The cheering happened again. The voices louder and the thuds stronger.
"Everyone! Show your family, friends, neighbors, and even that ugly stray animal staying in corner that we The Shadow People are stronger than ever and that we will Win the War!"
The cheers came running in like nothing before. The King silently waved off the army to ensure that they were truly ready.
Once everyone had left, he quietly walked back to the Throne Room and knew that no matter what happened. This War was going to be lost. Rather it be through him dying, the entire army dying, the entire army being captured, or all of the above.
He did not want that to be the truth but it was evident before his eyes. That no matter what has truly happened within the Realms he was going to lose.
Meanwhile
The conscious of the Stairway seemed to recognize that the Shadow King had once again increased the delay of the War and slowed down the time to ensure that the War happened on the day it was supposed to.
She told the Goddesses what was happening and to be ready for when the time once again increases.
The Goddesses sent word throughout all of the Realms. If people only had one statue, both statues, inside cathedrals, or if the neighbor(s) had a statue and shared the news.
"The War affecting the Nine Realms will happen tomorrow. You can participate if you are strong enough in your Realm, if you believe that you have strength to carry on your lover's, friend's, sibling's, or even our Will to protect the Realms.
No matter why you wish to fight in the Realms if you have the power. If you do not have the power. Then do not, we repeat do not fight in the War. Your lives matter if you do not have the strength.
Yes, it is sad that many of you will die. Many of you believe that you have enough power to fight but die in the process. There will always be people at the top of power and the bottom of power in each Realm and in total.
Remember this, do not force yourself no matter the choice you we will not forsake you nor think that you are doing this to become heroes.
We believe in the Realms. We believe in the people who will survive to see a new dawn. We believe that the Realms will always be protected by those who want to grow stronger.
So remember to survive. For those who have statues, this will become a message to be repeated until the War happens. For those in cathedrals, this message will become your strength. For those who need to hear this message, you will help them hear it."
Now by the time the invasion starts, the people within the Realms were truly ready to make their decision.
