Seeing how it's master was either enjoying being poisoned or was having to deal with the various poisons. The little lizard decided to explore the depths of the area.
It walked around trying to figure out what was going on in here. When he turned to find another room. He saw four maids seemingly playing something.
He walked towards them and climbed up the table. He saw different shaped cardlike things being flipped.
When it touched one, it found that these things were like super strong kind of wood that would allow the cards not to bend or break but it was still small enough to be handled.
The maids giggled seeing the little lizard. They allowed it to join in on the fun.
Revealing all of their hands, the little lizard saw that a SK was written on a card.
"Shadow King overwrites the board. So when this is played, it completely negates everything on the board."
The little lizard saw a SQ written on another card.
"This is Shadow Queen. Capturing her will guarantee that you will draw out the SK in the next move."
The next card he saw was a SA.
"Shadow Assassin this card can battle the SK but the SK gets to flip two cards instead of one like the SA.
If the highest number on the board belongs to the SA, he will kill the SK however if the SK has the highest number he joins the battle to capture the SQ and Shadow Diva."
"Some others play with the Shadow Son and Shadow Tale to ensure that the game goes for a while. We are not playing with those because it takes too long to go through four hundred playing cards."
The little lizard did not seem to understand the difference. The maid who had been explaining went to gather the other cards.
The maid returned and showed that a normal game with all of the cards would be a hundred and twenty cards but most take it down to just below hundred and ten or right above it at hundred and twelve.
The full game had almost five hundred cards and all of them had to be played. The little lizard seemed to understand that this was a much faster game.
As the game got a restart, he got to watch and play.
Four numbers in a row are placed and shuffled to ensure that no cheating is done.
The person on the left picks up a card. That signals where the person is placed. So if the maid picked up fourth, she could decide which player actually goes first. However if the maid picked up first. The one to the left of her would pick up another card. If it was not fourth, she would go second.
There were ninety cards that were numbered with different symbols. Each one had a different play.
A cloud on a card was considered a poison number card. If it had a cloud and the number forty, it was considered poison number fifteen. If poison number sixteen was placed, the poison number fifteen would lose.
Poison was considered a neutral card in the right placement it would be fine. If placed with a S-card, it can become a danger.
Next would be what the poison is weak is to. There were six different card types within the deck. Where each type was stronger against another type but weaker to another. When the top card was flipped from each person. The one who had either no weakness or strength would remain the same number strength.
If a card got flipped with both a weakness and strength, it too would remain the same number. If there was a weakness it's number was halved while it's strength would double the number.
This game would continue until one party had collected all of the cards or until a majority of all of the highest cards were within one's grasp.
The little lizard seemingly interested in playing tried to play with one of the maids. They giggled as it could not decide which card should be played. So instead of playing one, it flipped one off the top.
They were shocked to see one of the most dangerous cards actually get flipped instead of being played normally. The invasion of the city where there were indeed no numbers just like the SQ, SK, SA, but it had the advantage of either playing ten cards off the top or stealing up to ten cards from other players even in dungeons.
The decision to flip off the top ten was in a comical. It flipped ten more cards because luck seemed to be on its side.
The jaws continued to drop as a SA and SQ cards were both flipped. This could not have been any worst timing. Currently no one had drawn the SK for the win.
If it was now flipped, this would signal the end of the game due to the little lizard drawing the most powerful cards back to back. As he flipped, a poisoned card of nineteen flipped.
This was indeed a troubling matter for the other maids. Without a SK to completely win right here, it would be a struggle to win. Each of the other maids decided to try their luck.
The next in line flipped another invasion card. She could have chosen to steal the powerful cards from the little lizard. She could tell that this was not the time bullying the little creature.
She too decided to flip the top ten. The first card flipped was the SK. That signalled the end of the game because no matter what else was flipped, having two invasions, a SA and SQ along with the two would be destructive to the other maids.
Feeling downtrodden, the little lizard decided to try and play again. The maids looked at each other and played again. Somehow even with the shuffle. The same play happened again. This caused the maids to look at the little lizard who just decided to join in on a game.
