In the tunnel system
"Come on now. We have to hurry. We might get lucky and get ten minutes to cover the entrance to that place." The martyr told the maids.
Right now, he was feeling very unlucky to have brought them. They were just civilians given to the Palace in the form of servants. Of course, he would be very unhappy currently.
The martyr did not know that was the case. He knew some of the lowest maids and butlers came from the slums but not his favorite maids.
"Sorry young master, our bodies are not made to run like this. We will stick together and do our best. If you must, hurry to the end yourself." One of them spoke.
He turned to her first. Anger boiled inside of him, when he looked at the others. He too saw that they wanted to say that. He turned back around.
"I will use an advanced magic to get us there instantly. It will hurt me in the process. I will need healing." He spoke.
One of them turned around, "Here in this section is a couple that specialize in ten different forms of healing. They would be the best to see what kind you would need." Another maid spoke.
"I can wait for five minutes before teleporting. Try to be back before then." He spoke.
The maids darted into the tunnel. Her nonexistent hair would be still and perfect even if it was her running currently at max or a casual walk.
The maid appeared in what was the slums in the city. Their houses almost nonexistent, the air seemed thick with sickness and death, even bandits would stop at the entrance of this place just to ensure their survival, but she walked straight into it.
Her precious master would need healing. Who better to get back than her family. Their healing in the slums was one of the reasons why she came back. She hoped that they would listen to reason instead of being forced.
As the walk to her house got nearer, she could tell that the other people who had houses either died or could no longer live there.
That was the way of these slums. Fight over a piece of bread, no more like each person killed until no more wanted to die just for that piece of bread.
When the time came to enter her house. People were exiting with unhappy faces and others with happy ones. She knew that this was probably her brother's doing.
When she entered, she was face to face with her little sister whom was a baby when she first left the house unwillingly.
"Aren't you a little adorable sister?" She spoke.
The sister screamed and ran towards the room with her parents. The sister just smiled.
The parents came back worried about who had scared their little daughter.
When they exited their room and saw their daughter. They had mixed feelings. Either she was coming to ask them to move or do something dangerous.
"Why are you here, daughter?" The father asked.
The maid held her emotions back while she explained the situation in the palace. Their eyes wide with shock. People knew that Royal Princess was fighting against the martyr to be married. To have escaped with the help of some outsider was outrageous.
"We will be happy to help the martyr get to his safe house and be healed." They packed all of their healing utensils.
It was only twenty pieces. Those twenty pieces served as their livelihood. Each piece worth killing hundreds and saving thousands.
When they entered the tunnel, the martyr was surprised to see the family of the maid. What scared him most was that they had gained the ability to birth more children than normal.
"How were you able to birth another child? Isn't the most supposed to two?" He asked.
"We can ask once we are in a more secure location. I am sure that we are not supposed to know of these tunnels either way." The father replied.
The martyr smiled as they teleported to the end. He was exhausted after using the advanced magic. What hurt him more was that a seal was placed on the door to ensure that it was not opened.
"Damnable wretches." The martyr spoke.
Behind the seal, another door was there ready to be used. One of the maids noticed and brought the martyr there.
Once all five maids, the martyr, and the family entered. A protective covering covered their seal so that it could not be detected. This protected them while Rex would break in the next room over and slaughter those people inside.
Before that
"We will heal you first and then just the three of us will talk about how we had three children." The father spoke.
The martyr accepted this because he knew he was in no shape to accept any kind of talk before he got healed.
