"Alice, are you alright?" His voice was sharp, urgent, yet controlled, every word laced with concern. He didn't wait for an answer, checking her with the precision of someone who refused to let anything go unnoticed.
"Yeah… what do you mean, am I alright? Are you?" she asked, confusion lacing her tone. "Why did we teleport here?"
