If you were to ask which siblings spent the most time together, everyone would undoubtedly say the twins.
But close behind them, Bashenga and Thea were a very tight-knit duo.
Similar to how Valerie was the first mother Bashenga opened up to, Thea was the first of his siblings with whom he formed a genuine bond.
Thea was a special existence to Bashenga. She was always amusing, and was one of the few who didn't make him feel like a family oddity.
With Thea, Bashenga didn't feel the pressure to be something other than himself. He found himself coming out of his shell all on his own. Sometimes even making jokes.
He babysat the twins a lot. Most people in the house might've been wary of letting him watch children all by himself without supervision, but Thea never saw a problem with it.
I think you like kids a lot more than you're willing to admit, huh? Don't worry, I won't tell anyone as long as you babysit whenever I ask! She used to say.
