Erik walked down the hallway, trying to avoid eye contact with the students who were still there.
It wasn't simple to do so. The first reason was because of the many people there. The second because each corner made memories flood back, making him feel like he was back in his old shoes again.
At some point, a familiar feeling of horror rose in his chest.
In front of him was a corner where he often hid from Logan and his friends.
Erik froze mid-step, as his breath was caught in his throat. His palms became sweaty, and so did his neck. Logan's laughter was basically echoing off these same walls. The memory was dreadful.
Then, the taste of blood in his mouth from another beating resurfaced in his mind, followed by the helpless rage that burned in his chest during those moments.
