Various soldiers helped Captain Lain by attacking the Blirdoth. Bolts of various kinds darted through the air, hoping to electrocute, burn, or pierce the creature. But it didn't work. The Heniate's avatar was too strong, its mana too high.
Lain was having a difficult time against the canine monstrosity. Avoiding its attacks was hard, but the real problem was the creature's corrosive fog. Since she was close, the effects of the wind generated by her comrades weren't as strong. She still had to deal with the creature's brain crystal power, and if it wasn't for Emma's water shield, she would have already been dead.
On her left was a huge dog-like creature that a nearby soldier had summoned. This became Lain's best ally since it split the Blirdoth's attention.
Emma protected the creature with another shield, but this burned her mana faster. All in all, the situation wasn't looking good, and more and more soldiers were dying.
