Paradis Island
"Sasha, what's happening?" Marco shouted as he, too, stood up with a little difficulty. She pointed towards the Ocean. He quickly used his own sniper rifle, and his expression changed to one of disbelief and wariness.
"They are here!" Marco said with a hint of disbelief. She knew she had to wait for them to get closer. Once the ships were almost at the dock, the red flare flew high in the air.
Sasha grabbed the iron railing before jumping over it with her legs forward. As she fell down, she quickly bit her hand, and a bolt of golden lightning engulfed her.
Everyone watched as a Semi-War Hammer Titan formed before them, holding a giant iron bow, including a stack of fifty arrows behind her back.
"Prepare to Fight," Sasha ordered through her Titan. She was tall enough that the ships could see her as she slowly approached them. The bright lights from the ships almost blinded her. Many of them were brighter than the moon and illuminated her form as she advanced towards them.
Sasha looked down on them; she had never expected to be in this situation, to become a Titan. It felt strange to be so tall and look down at people taller than her, and right now, she was even taller than the white wall where the Eldians used to be turned into Titans years ago.
"OPEN FIRE!!" Sasha heard the man down at the ship shout, but she wasn't bothered. She was a War Hammer Titan, and despite being a semi-one, her armor was still strong enough to stand against cannons, bullets, and even mortars they had stolen from the Marley Ships.
Sasha felt her body get bombarded by bullets and cannon shells. But none made a dent in her armor, and the soldiers seemed to have realized that, too, as they stopped shooting at her; they all looked scared out of their minds.
"Soldiers of Marley. I will give you all one chance, more than what you gave to my people. Give up now, and you all will be spared, but if you don't—" A huge mortar exploded in her face. This one caused the armor in her face to crack, and she looked down at them, but there was no anger in her eyes, not really. She wasn't like Annie, who enjoyed attacking the Marley soldiers. Despite knowing how they treated Eldians, Sasha couldn't find it in her heart to hate them, but she knew what she had to do; it was her duty, and even if she didn't like it, she would defend her home.
Without saying another word, she aimed her big bow at all three metallic ships. A burst of electricity engulfed her hand as she held the string of the bow as she aimed at them. She could hear them shouting for them to sail away, and many started firing at her once again.
Sasha let go of the bowstring, but instead of one big arrow, it was a hundred small arrows made of Titan hardening, all raining down on everyone who happened to be on the main deck.
Sasha watched as the blood flew everywhere; their screams echoed in the night, and many jumped over the ship and to the safety of the waters below; the sound of flesh and bones being ripped apart was something she preferred not to hear.
Sasha watched as everyone still alive swam to the shore; the arrows weren't big enough to damage the ships beyond repair; they still needed them in the future. Sasha walked up to the white wall, and the remaining soldiers all raised their hands in surrender when they noticed Sasha looking down at them as if they were ants in her way, not counting the Eldians soldiers aiming their rifles at them, weapons they had taken from Marley soldiers.
Sasha watched as Miche, the leader of this HQ, walked up in front of everyone, ready to address them.
"Soldiers of Marley, drop down your weapons. You will not be harmed but make one wrong move, and you won't see another day." Miche declared and looked at each one; many seethed in anger; he could tell many were willing to throw away their lives, and Miche's eyes quickly noticed one of them rising to his feet with a rifle in hand.
"I will see you all—" BANG!!
Miche's eyes widened as the soldier fell on the shore with a hole in the side of his head, but the one who shot him wasn't one of theirs. Instead, it was a Marley.
"Alright, that was boring."
"Yelena, what the hell!!" One soldier shouted, ready to aim his gun at her, only for another bullet to be shot; the soldier dropped dead, and the one named Yelena didn't seem fazed by what happened.
"Will you keep resisting?" Miche asked once again, but this time, they all threw down their guns and let the Eldians handcuff them, but when the girl's turn came to be handcuffed, Miche motioned for the soldier to leave so he could speak with her and beside him was Nanaba, and Sasha, whose marks on her face for using her Titan were slowly healing away.
"Who are you?"
"I am Yelena, mister..." "Miche, I'm the commander of this HQ."
"A Pleasure to meet you, but I think this conversation is best held in a more private place." Miche gave her a long look before motioning at her to follow him.
Yelena did so without question, but she quickly noticed the blonde woman's eyeing her and the way she whispered something to this Miche guy.
I see, so these two have a thing with one another, she realized. Those things were always too easy to spot, and this one, they weren't even trying to hide it in the first place. She placed that piece of information at the back of her head for later use if she needed it and followed them inside a tent.
The blonde girl placed a chair before her, and Miche sat across her, looking at her intensively.
Yelena, once again, sat down without hesitation. "Do you happen to have coffee here? I would like a cup." She requested, knowing this island was not supposed to have coffee. Much to her surprise, Miche gave the blonde girl a look, and she quite reluctantly left the tent once again, making it obvious of their little relationship.
So, if they had coffee, that means someone must have taught them how to make it. Yelena remembered the way they spared them. Instead of just outright killing them like Marley would do, they gave them three chances to give up. Yelena knew there were other people who were with Zeke who could have told them how to make Coffee, but a small part of her was hoping it was Zeke. Was he still alive?
"So, why did you shoot your own soldier? From what the soldier said, your name is Yelena. Is that correct?" Miche asked with a lingering look. The flap of the tent was pulled up, and the blonde woman walked inside, holding a freshly made coffee with hot steam still coming out from the top. She placed it on the table next to Yelena before taking her place beside Miche, looking at her warily, almost like she was a time bomb waiting to go off.
Yelena took a small sip. The taste could have been better, but it was still good. Perhaps she could teach them later how to make good coffee, but that could wait. "Yes, my name is Yelena, and why I killed the Marley soldier. Well, I despise them. I only was amongst them because I'm looking for someone here." Her answer clearly caught them off guard.
"Who are you looking for?"
"Zeke Yeager. Do you know him?" Yelena allowed a small hint of hope in her voice as she asked.
Miche narrowed his eyes at her, and his silence felt like years of waiting until he finally opened his mouth to answer. "Yes, we know him, and he's still alive."
Yelena had never felt more relieved; she felt like a huge weight was off her shoulders, and she could breathe more easily now. "Where is he?" Yelena wanted to berate herself for making it so obvious that he was important to her, and from their expression, it was clear they had noticed that.
"We can tell you that...later, but first you will reveal information. I'm sure that's a fair trade. Don't you think?"
"With pleasure." Yelena smiled. As long as she had the opportunity to talk with Zeke again, everything would be fine. He was still alive, and now all she needed to do was meet him again.
Erwin
"How did this happen?" Erwin questioned with a sigh of irritation as he looked at Hange.
After hearing about the incident, he wasted no time riding to the Forest of the Giant Trees; with the help of Titan Hardening, they had created a big prison where the prisoners of war would be kept, but making sure no innocent people would get close to this place, with the help of Levi and Mikasa, they had created a wall around this prison, it was thirty meters tall, with spikes, and everything else they needed to make sure the prisoners wouldn't escape this place. The Warden of this place was an ex-military Police officer that Commander Nile had suggested with the excuse that the Military Police were better at dealing with people than those from the Survey Corps.
King Eren agreed to this and allowed the Commander to choose who he thought would be best suited to watch over this place; this man was Klauus Wut. The man had been in the first place when he had graduated nine years ago; he seemed like someone who could watch over this place. Erwin had agreed, and so did everyone else.
But now, this incident has caused quite a lot of heat amongst the military. Erwin knew it was no real secret that those Marley Soldiers were despised by the majority of the population, including many soldiers in the military.
They all made it clear they should be killed for what Marley had done and was still doing it to the Eldians on the mainland, but Eren and the Commanders of the Military, including Zackley, had made it clear that those prisoners would be kept in the new prison, and would be kept alive. But many said that it was a waste of food to keep them alive, and killing them was a much better solution.
And now, an incident had happened between the Eldian soldiers and the imprisoned soldiers. Erwin wanted to get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible, but this proved to be much more complicated than he had thought. Upon arriving here and questioning the Warden of this Prison, Klauus had reported that the Marley Soldiers had started it; they had attacked the Eldian soldiers, and their soldiers had protected themselves from the aggressors.
Erwin wished it was as simple as that. He looked at Hange, waiting for her to report.
"Erwin, I questioned everyone I could, even the Marley soldiers. They told me to fuck off at first, and some looked terrified from me, but with a few small promises of more food and perhpas more freedom in the future, many of them cracked, and told me a completely different story."
Erwin didn't like the sound of that as he took a sip from the tea; at a time like this, he wished either Miche or Levi were with him right now.
But Miche was busy being the Commander of the Yeager HQ near the Ocean, and Levi was preparing for the First Contact Mission. His job was to ensure Zeke Yeager made contact with the outside world.
It wasn't just Levi and Miche that were not around anymore since it was set in, well, eventually sank in that the outside world hated everyone that lived on this island. King Eren, with the help of his small council and the Commanders, had created many new ways of fighting and training, and the Semi-Shifter Program was still going well, but that also included creating new weapons and factories for said weapons after taking everything valuable from the Marley Ships. Hange and a group of scientists had wasted no time analyzing everything they could, trying to recreate what the Marley had created.
Due to the orders of King Eren, their first priority was to recreate the weapons that Marley had at their disposal, and so far, all they were able to recreate were the automatic pistols and the bolt action rifles. When it came to guns, they were still trying to recreate the Bazooka and other explosive weapons they had found, including the fruit-like weapon that Pieck Finger had called 'Grenade,' and according to Hange, they were close to recreating that one, and with the help of the new weapon factory called, 'Sword and Spear.'
Once they were done with that, Hange promised they could start mass-producing the Grenades. Sadly, that meant Erwin was no longer with his usual company.
The days of spending time with Hange, Levi, and Miche and planning the next expedition beyond the wall were long gone. Sometimes, Erwin missed those days. Those days were much simpler, but there was no time to think about the past; he needed to think about the future.
"What did they say?"
"Erwin, they said that our soldiers started this fight, they were...hmmm..." Erwin could see a pained smile on her face as she tried to speak her mind. "Three soldiers from Marley that survived our ambush are female, and I warned Klauus to place them in separate cells, perhaps in different prisons entirely, but he told me they would not harm the prisoners until one night. The guards that usually guarded their cells weren't there, and three Military Police soldiers, including one from the Survey Corps, opened their cells and walked inside. They tried to...take advantage of them...thankfully, one of them managed to bite, causing quite a wound on one of the Military soldiers, which frightened the others. But the next day, when the male Marley soldiers learned about this, they caused quite a riot, which caused this whole incident." Hange gave him her personal notebook, and she had written everything: what she had asked, the answer, and which soldier gave that answer.
The more Erwin read, the bigger the headache became. "Just great," Erwin said sarcastically as he read. He really wished all of this was a bad dream. Once he was done reading, he looked at Hange across the table; she looked quite distraught and a little disappointed.
"Hange, do you think there's any chance the Marley soldiers are making this up?"
"...As much as I wish to say that it's all their fault. I interviewed everyone, even one of the female soldiers, but she burst into tears when I tried to ask more about that night. I asked our own soldiers, and it was clear many of them were afraid to say anything bad about the four soldiers who appreantly did this deed."
Erwin let that sink in. He was sure Eren would never tolerate this. If he learned the truth of what happened, he would demand the heads of everyone who let this happen, including the head of Klauus himself, for being the Warden and allowing something like this to happen in his own prison. Erwin would agree with that, but he needed to make sure this stayed quiet, and the public wouldn't learn of this incident because if they did, Erwin knew it could end badly.
"Hange, I need your help with this. I will talk with Nile and ask what he thinks we should do about this incident. You should try to gather more information," Erwin ordered her.
"Erwin, what about...ahh, King Eren? Shouldn't he be informed right away, or does he already know what we are talking about because of the founder?" Hange said with a small shudder. The thought of Eren eavesdropping on all of them didn't sound comfortable, especially last night with what she and Levi had been doing with one another.
"It doesn't work like that. He and Zeke or Dina need to make contact so he can use the founder, and even if he could. I don't think Eren is one to eavesdrop on us. As for Eren, right now. I want to know everything about this incident and secret. I will personally tell Eren what happened here, but only after I'm one hundred percent sure that we are not being played here." Erwin ordered Hange. It seemed like she wanted to say something to counter him, but she ultimately closed her mouth and left the room without saying a word.
Royal Palace - Night
"What did you learn?" Eren questioned right away as he looked at the fire flickering in the fireplace with Historia holding his hand.
"Well, do you want the good news or the bad news?" Kenny questioned from behind with an uneasy smile, but Eren didn't appreciate the joke as he turned to look at him and pinned him with a cold glare.
"...Three Marley Soldiers that we captured were female: Camila, Sara, and Gabriella. They had their own cells away from the male prisoners, but two days ago. The guards of their cells weren't there; based on the information that I gathered, they were given money, and they decided to leave the cells alone for that night. Once, it was the middle of the night, four of our soldiers, three MPs, and one Survey. They sexually assaulted the three girls, but the assault was cut short when Sara used her teeth to make one of them a eunuch. The three others were scared and ran away after this happened. The next day, the three girls, crying, informed the Marley soldiers of what happened, and the riot happened an hour later. The Warden of this prison, the one Commander Nile suggested, he tried to keep it quite, and ordered that all the Marley soldiers to be beaten for causing the riot after it was over, but he choose the wrong day to do that since Hitch Dreyse happened to be there, which caused her to run to the Royal Palace and inform you of what happened, while she tried to downplay it a little, I don't think she knew the full extend of what happened there. Commander Nile and Commander Erwin are trying to find out everything that happened, and try to keep it quite from the public, and do this quietly without gaining attention from the public. I heard Commander Erwin say that he will tell you the truth once he knows everything that happened."
Once Kenny was done with his report, for the first time, he was taken aback. Historia had never looked so furious, but even she paled in comparison to the eyes of the King. Eren Yeager's eyes showed rage that made Kenny shudder in fear for the first time in his life.
"Kenny. I want the names of everyone who allowed this to happen: the four soldiers, the guards who were brided, and every person who was responsible for this happening. I want their names."
"...Why?" Kenny questioned, swallowing thickly, feeling sweat on his forehead.
"I will have their heads for this."
Dina
' Where am I? She wondered as she ran across a large green field, and it wasn't her body. Who is this boy, she wondered as she followed the boy and the girl before him, almost running on their tiptoes. From what she understood, their names were Annie and Bertholdt.
Dina was familiar with this Annie girl; she was sure she had heard that name but wasn't sure where...
Oh, right. She holds the Original Female Titan. She remembered when she had once discussed something with King Eren. Dina had introduced herself to Annie, but not much else was exchanged between them.
As they kept running, she couldn't help but feel that this place was familiar until, in the distance, she saw one of the walls. From the sigil painted on the gate, this was Wall Maria.
What? Why am I here? Whose memories are these? She wondered as she turned to look at the Annie girl.
"Alright, Annie. Now it's your turn," she said in a boy's voice. Dina watched as the girl gained a distance from them before using a sharp blade on her ring, and the Female Titan appeared before her.
What is happening here? What is she doing...'
Suddenly, everything went dark. She opened her eyes with a gasp. She was back in her room. The memories quickly returned to her, and she remembered why she was here in the first place—the room the Queen and the King had given her.
"Strange, were this Reiner's memories?" She wondered out loud as she turned around on her bed to look at the window, staring at the Royal Garden beyond. Her eyelids felt heavy, but as she closed her eyes to sleep, she couldn't help but wonder what this all meant.
