"I can see that," Horus said, trying so hard to keep his voice from shaking.
"I must tell you, Horus, that you are going to die for your actions today," Aposis hissed as his canines elongated and his scales began to appear slowly. "You shouldn't have killed her."
"You have no right to say that, demon lord," Iah managed to conquer the fear rising within her to speak. "You have no right at all to be here. You should be in darkness, rotting there with your useless soul."
"And as for the jinn," Isis joined in, "She deserves death and destruction because she refused to be subdued by the supreme father's will. And you, of all people, demon lord, know what becomes of such ill-fated beings," she grinned wickedly.
"Leave now and we shall say nothing to the supreme father about this. But tarry and have your heart pierced like hers," Isis threatened. She seemed to be the only one among the three bold enough to stand up to the demon lord.
