Chen Muxue squinted and looked for quite some time. She decided to just be honest and stop pretending. Despite her many years as a chef, she couldn't figure out what the mysterious steaming substance in Cen Lizhui's bowl was.
She must have gotten it wrong; this couldn't be porridge. It must be some kind of chemical experiment reagent, definitely.
"You're awake." Cen Lizhui's eyes glowed with a bit of joy as he stepped forward with the bowl, "You must be hungry, right? I just cooked some porridge."
He handed the bowl to Chen Muxue, who instinctively took a step back, "Uh, I'll have to politely decline!"
"Why?" Cen Lizhui's once smiling face suddenly looked so downcast, holding the bowl of mysterious substance in apparent heartbreak that it was hard not to feel a little sorry for him.
But only a little sorry, as Chen Muxue knew her stomach wasn't nearly strong enough.
