It has been four days, since Wu Chen started teaching "Mountain Shattering Fist" first form stance to Grey. So far Grey is the untalented rock head that nothing goes in his head. Wu Chen changed his teaching methods, only beating will make him learn.
With that now he can clearly stand firmly with flexible upper body, and flowing water like fist, this is the last step in the fist technique, Eyes to see what others can't see.
This is just a metaphor on the outside, but the true meaning is, to follow the movements of the opponents with out fail. Well surprisingly when Grey uses his Golden Body he can follow all of other's movements.
So this part was rather easy for him, Wu Chen also not complied him about the use of Golden Body, he just don't want to give headache of teaching him to follow movements without using his skill.
So with that in a week, Grey grasped the stance finally, and he sent this to Fausil, Fausil sent the second form of "Mountain Shattering Fist" Grey has 10 days time to learn this.
Wu Chen was standing besides him, looking at the second form, Wu Chen is a through and through martial artist, so looking at Fausil's display of is very perfect, he acknowledged Fausil's talent and hard work, unlike some one who is garbage.
Grey sensed that Wu Chen is shit talking him in his mind, he glared like a puppy towards, him.
"Well without further ado, why don't we do some workout" Grey got puzzled as to why he can't just do the moves? but going to train body?
His question was answered by Wu Chen, he directed Grey to the Gravity room, increased the gravity and let him ordered to stand in the first form in there, and he have to maintain the form with out breaking it.
Wu Chen also prepared handful of Black bamboo sticks for some nice beating, Grey's instinct kicked in and he used Golden Body(50%) and stood in the first form.
Over the time, Wu Chen increased the intensity of the gravity but with the help of his skill Grey, stood without problem.
Now Wu Chen told Grey, that he will throw iron balls towards him, what he have to do is to deflect them only with his hands, and when he says to evade he have to evade the iron ball. It seemed relatively easy and he believed he can do this.
The first ball Wu Chen throwed it has no command to evade so Grey have to deflect it, Grey were able to see this iron ball, and he did reflect it, seemed easy, next ball with more power, Wu Chen commanded to evade it, Grey evaded it, back to position but, Grey lost his balance, the third ball with greater force, it hit his stomach, that's it Grey crouched, but Wu Chen didn't stopped this.
He threw iron ball one after another, Grey only got hit after hit, when he tried to stand in the position, he weren't make himself quicker, his pose broke, stance broke and also face broke.
Wu Chen had a sack of these and he can collect it again and do this from beginning, after countless time, got hit, Grey's body once again adopted to it. Now Grey can evade and deflect some iron balls, it can be counted with fingers, but a progress has been made!
This has been continued for another 9 days, it is the last date and to submit the progress to Fausil, by this time, Grey can deflect and evade all of Wu Chen's throw, over time the speed also increased but Grey, managed to evade and deflect them all.
It is the 10th day, Wu Chen as usual is in the Grey's training place,
"For today, you can imitate the moves made by Fausil" Wu Chen told blandly, Grey just imitated the second form with 8 steps,
First step, a straight punch, Second step, upper cut, Third step: lower cut, Fourth step: spear slash, Fifth step: Grip, sixth step: reflect, seventh step: palm strike, Eighth step: claw strike.
Grey finished executing this, he felt empty, a great emptiness in his heart that he said "what the fuck" out loud, Wu Chen replied bluntly as "What a rock head like you can comprehend".
Grey just barked nonstop,
with sigh "Just see this, I will do the same movement" as Wu Chen performed all those steps of second form, it was different, it was like fluid, a water with consistent form, a great flexible fist movements.
"You need to grasp the essence! that is what you have been trained for past 9 days" as Wu Chen finished, Grey realized the mistake, instead of imitating as it is, he adjusted the power output like he practiced with iron balls, the form became like fluid, the actual step doesn't matter as it is just a hand technique, what is important is the essence.
As Grey used the 8 steps, he successfully grasped the second form's essence, the eight steps are actually important as it can be changed depending on the circumstance.
Once again Wu Chen is surprised, by his execution of the form, Grey is dumb most time but Genius at rarely? he got confused.
Now Grey was halfway to finishing the "Mountain Shattering fist"
Well, Fausil seemed to be busy and didn't send further forms with hologram. So Wu Chen took this on his hand and told Grey that he will teach the remaining forms.
Actually "Mountain Shattering Fist" consist of 5 forms, first form is for stance, second form is for offence and third form is for defense, forth is for agile and fifth is combine execution of previous forms.
"You already grasped 2 forms, now moving to the third form, unlike the first form, third form requires more leg strength and solid upper body, like a mountain which is unmovable."
Grey felt dejavu, because, at the beginning, when he tried the first form, he had a solid upper and lower body, so why did he bring that up in the third form.
Without a sense of hesitation, Grey asked a question to Wu Chen, "Sir, I did do that at the beginning right?, that solid upper and lower body, do I have to do that again-", before Grey could finish his sentence, Wu Chen hit Grey's head.
He is in unbearable pain, he felt his brain might be coming from his nose, Wu Chen started to explain why his form was not like 3rd form, "Try to understand what I tell, When you were standing, you were just stiff, If I had kicked you, you would have broken your hands and bunch of bones, but the original 3rd form is not like that, even if I exert this force when your are in the original 3rd form stance, you can block me. here is a quick question, how does iron rods conduct force?"
Grey just looked at him blankly and asked "Why are you asking me? sir", that's it another hit on the head, "You have to comprehend that by yourself, I can't teach you like baby feeding" .
With that, he left the place, letting Grey to find out what he meant by rod conducting force...
The very next day, is Sunday, it is day off for academy, he is just doing nothing, thinking only about what does he meant by that "how does rod conduct power, hmm, how does rod conduct power" nothing comes to mind, nothing at all.
Now it has been three days, in these three days of time he only muttered about, how can rod conduct power... nothing else, he was like a zombie, with no life.
Suddenly, "What kind of rod?", Grey woke from his delusion world, the one who asked question was non other than Raphael, it has been more than two weeks that they saw each other.
While Grey is improving his skills, he forgot about his friends, He got flustered by suddenly seeing Raphael, "He man it has been a while", Raphael casually strike a conversation.
"Hey, how are you doing haha" Grey felt guilty, for not looking for him after class has been changed, Raphael also teased him like S ranker and such, Grey easily flustered by all of his comments.
After he cooled down, Raphael asked him about the question, muttered lifelessly, Grey took a great time to explain what was happened changing class, and what has been going on and about the question also, he told everything.
"Interesting, I never thought someone take interest in you" this was like an arrow pierced Grey's heart, bleed him, but that was just a joke.
They talked sometime, and went to snack park[1], both ate ice-cream, just spent the time peacefully, Suddenly Grey got a hunch, he remembered getting beaten up Wu Chen with the black bamboo stick, both the bamboo and iron rod would be alike right because black bamboo is stronger than normal iron found in the earth.
So he remembered the sensation of that pain, no, not the pain, the feeling of black bamboo, because there is some bamboos left in his training room.
Both Raphael and Grey went to the training room, Grey just took a stick and try to felt something, but he felt nothing, he swung the bamboo couple of times, but he really felt nothing.
Without any warning suddenly Raphael beat Grey's ass with the bamboo, "What the fuck!!!!", his ass is not entirely recovered from Wu Chen's beating, it stings too much, like vibration, hmmmmmmmmm?
Vibration? is that it, the reason why a rod can conduct his power is vibration?
yup, with the help of friendship he got enlighten and found the answer, hooray to his ass and friendship...
