3rd POV
'Thinking'
[Sacred gear talking]
Ajuka Laboratory
The next day arrived, and Lucien couldn't have been more excited. Walking through the massive double doors, he was greeted by the sight of countless advanced machines, glowing magic circles, and floating screens — the perfect fusion of science and sorcery.
He followed his parents into a large room where a small column stood in the center. On top of it rested a hand-shaped imprint, clearly meant for the user. Standing on either side of the column, surrounded by several floating displays, were Ajuka Beelzebub himself — and a woman whose appearance made Lucien freeze in place, his mouth falling open.
The woman noticed his expression and raised a teasing brow.
"Are you in awe of my beauty, perhaps? Sorry, little Lucien — you're far too young for me. But come back in a few years, and maybe I'll let you court me then," she teased with a smirk.
Everyone in the room chuckled — even Ajuka gave a rare laugh. Lucien blinked rapidly, snapping out of his daze.
"You're... Leonardo da Vinci!" he blurted out in disbelief.
Of course he recognized her. She was one of the most famous figures from his past life — from Fate/Grand Order, no less. The woman before him was stunning: average height, long chestnut-brown hair cascading down her back, and sharp blue eyes that sparkled with intellect. Her elegant Renaissance-style outfit, paired with a sleek white lab coat, made her look like a living painting. In one hand, she held a steampunk-like staff crowned with a large glowing blue crystal — a fusion of beauty and genius.
She smiled proudly.
"Why yes, I am — though I prefer Leona da Vinci, if you please. Bishop to Lord Beelzebub himself."
Lucien blinked. "But… weren't you supposed to be a man? At least, that's what humans thought."
Leona chuckled softly.
"Ah, that was the 1400s, dear. A dreadful time for women of intellect. I used illusion magic to appear male whenever I presented my inventions or performed my experiments. It was simply easier that way. But I have always been a woman," she said, sighing with a knowing smile.
Lucien tilted his head curiously. "So… how did you meet Uncle Ajuka?"
Ajuka folded his arms, smiling at the memory.
"I'd heard rumors in the human world of a genius inventor creating miracles centuries ahead of her time. Naturally, I was intrigued. When I found Leona, I immediately saw through her illusion and introduced myself — and the supernatural world. We spent days discussing magic theory and science. Once I realized how brilliant she truly was, I decided it would be a shame for such a mind to fade with age. So I offered her a place in my peerage."
Leona grinned, spreading her arms theatrically.
"And when I learned that, down here, intellect and talent mattered more than gender, I accepted! And the rest, as they say, is history."
Lucien blinked in awe.'So Da Vinci's a devil in this world too… This definitely confirms it — I'm in an A.U. There could be other anime characters here as well. Maybe even potential future peerage members.'
"Wow… I never would've imagined Da Vinci joining the devils," Lucien said aloud.
Sirzechs smirked. "Alright, enough with the history lessons. Let's get to the main event — I want to see what kind of Evil Pieces my son gets."
Ajuka nodded, interest gleaming in his eyes. "Agreed. This will be the first time a Super Devil has ever used the machine."
Leona gestured toward the column.
"Come here, Lucien. All you need to do is place your hand on the input and channel your demonic power steadily into the device. Once the process completes, your Evil Pieces will manifest at the top."
Lucien took a deep breath and followed her instructions. As he pushed his demonic energy into the machine, he immediately noticed something strange — his control was perfect. Too perfect.
He remembered being taught that the more demonic power one possessed, the harder it was to control… yet for him, it felt natural, effortless. Born as a Super Devil, his energy reserves were vast — almost limitless — but even now, there wasn't a hint of strain.
Ajuka's sharp eyes caught the detail instantly; his expression flickered for a moment before returning to its calm neutrality.
The machine began to glow crimson, the light filling the room as runes rotated around the column. After several seconds, Lucien lifted his hand. A section of the column slid open, and a small platform rose from within, carrying a box made of black metal with a crimson seal.
Lucien took it carefully and walked toward his parents, with Ajuka and Leona watching closely.
Grayfia leaned forward. "Open it, Lucien. Don't keep us waiting in suspense."
Lucien nodded, excitement gleaming in his silver eyes. He opened the box — and the moment everyone saw inside, they gasped.
Inside the box were fifteen mutated Evil Pieces, each one glowing with a deep crimson hue identical to Lucien's own hair.
The air in the room was thick with astonishment and awe.
"Wait how come I don't experience a sensory overload or have to cover my eyes from over use?" Lucien ask curiously remembering what gojo went through in the anime.
"This is amazing! You're the first devil in history to have an entire set of mutated Evil Pieces!" Lenoa exclaimed, her eyes wide with excitement.
Sirzechs laughed warmly. "Hahaha, Lucien! You've already surpassed me in Evil Pieces, at least. What a wonderful surprise!"
Grayfia smiled, pride shining in her silver eyes. "Truly a surprise indeed. I didn't think this was even possible. I'm proud of you, Lucien."She reached out and gently patted his head.
Lucien blushed lightly but couldn't hide the happiness on his face.
Ajuka, who had been quietly analyzing the equipment, finally spoke, his tone shifting to one of intrigue and focus."I didn't think this was possible either. Even though I created the Evil Pieces, there's still much I don't understand about them." He adjusted his glasses. "However, before I lose myself in theory, I must tell you what I discovered during the process. I believe you've noticed it as well, Lucien."
Lucien nodded, his expression growing serious. Sirzechs and Grayfia exchanged looks, their own smiles fading into focused concern.
"Is something wrong with our son, Ajuka?" Sirzechs asked solemnly.
Ajuka shook his head. "No, nothing is wrong. Quite the opposite, actually. Your son possesses more than just the Power of Destruction."
Sirzechs and Grayfia froze for a moment, realization dawning.
"You mean—" Grayfia began.
Ajuka nodded. "Yes. Lucien also carries the Gremory Clan Trait. His eyes are more than just a color."
Both parents immediately turned toward their son, studying his gaze with newfound intensity.
"Lucien," Sirzechs said carefully, "have you noticed anything unusual about your vision? Perhaps being able to see things at great distances or perceive things others can't?"
Lucien tilted his head, confused. "I guess? I've always been able to see really far — like kilometers away. I can also see mana in the air… and I see perfectly in the dark."
Grayfia's eyes widened. "That's… not normal."
Lucien blinked, genuinely puzzled. "Wait, what do you mean? Don't all devils have night vision? And anyone can see mana if they push demonic power into their eyes, right?"
Unknowingly, he had just bragged about abilities no devil in existence could even dream of having.
Sirzechs chuckled softly, though his voice carried awe. "Yes, son, every devil can see in the dark. And some can extend their vision slightly by channeling demonic energy into their eyes… but what you're doing is fundamentally different." His tone became firm. "Tell me, Lucien—what do you know about our clan's trait?"
Lucien frowned, thinking back to his studies. "Members of the Gremory Clan are better at controlling their demonic power, right?"
"That's what most of the supernatural world believes," Sirzechs said, smiling faintly. "But only the ancient beings and devils from Lucifer's era know the truth." He folded his arms, voice carrying the weight of heritage."Yes, we Gremorys are naturally talented in controlling our power. But that's merely the surface. The true gift of our bloodline was lost long ago — until now."
Grayfia's gaze softened as Sirzechs continued.
"Our ancestor, the first Gremory, possessed the genuine trait. It's called the Crimson Eyes. A bearer of the Crimson Eyes wields perception and visual prowess far beyond any devil. These eyes allow the user to perceive, analyze, and manipulate demonic energy down to the atomic level. A Crimson Eyes user can see for kilometers with absolute clarity, distinguish figures and mana signatures, and even analyze spells in real-time to determine their structure and function.
They can differentiate energy types, identify individuals by their mana alone, and their control is so precise that their energy loss is virtually zero — meaning, they can fight endlessly without running out of demonic power."
Lucien's eyes widened in shock."Wait… this sounds just like the Six Eyes from Jujutsu Kaisen. Holy crap—am I Gojo? …No, wait. I don't have Limitless. Eh, that's fine. I already have the Power of Destruction. Let's not be greedy."
He exhaled slowly, still processing. "Wait, so that's why it's always been so easy for me to control my demonic power? Even the Power of Destruction feels… natural. When I used the machine earlier, I could channel a constant, perfect flow of energy without even trying."
Sirzechs smiled helplessly. "Exactly. Even with my lesser version of our trait, I had to train endlessly to keep my power in check. If not, I would've destroyed allies along with enemies during the Great War. Even Ajuka had to struggle with control before developing his Kankara Formula."
Ajuka nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed. My Formula helps me manipulate demonic power mathematically, but it's still not on your level, Lucien. The Crimson Eyes surpass even that. You were born with the precision of my life's work."
Grayfia placed a hand over her heart, eyes soft with pride. "I thought you might match your father or even Lord Beelzebub someday… but now, you have the potential to surpass them both — and perhaps many others."
"Wait—how come I don't experience sensory overload or have to cover my eyes from overuse?" Lucien asked curiously, recalling what happened to Gojo in the anime.
Ajuka chuckled. "If you were human, your brain would melt from the strain. But as a devil—especially one born with immense demonic reserves—your body and mind are adapted for high stress. You can handle the sensory input effortlessly. You were born for this power."
Lucien nodded slowly, awe still evident. "So… does having the Crimson Eyes change anything for me?"
Sirzechs and Grayfia exchanged a smile."No," Sirzechs said warmly. "If anything, it only means you're destined for even greater things. Your grandfather will be ecstatic to know his grandson manifested those eyes. Everyone already knew you were going to be strong—this just confirms it."
Grayfia chuckled softly. "You'd better be ready, though. Once your grandmother hears about this, she'll train you until you can see the atomic structure of exhaustion itself."
Lucien groaned. "That… doesn't sound encouraging."
"Wait… I know Grandma's been training me in etiquette—and she's strong enough to help me learn to control the Power of Destruction—but…" Lucien hesitated for a moment, looking up at his father with hopeful eyes. "I kind of wanted you to teach me, Dad."
He said it softly, a little embarrassed. In truth, Lucien hadn't been able to spend much time with his father; Sirzechs was almost always busy fulfilling his duties as the Satan of Domestic Affairs.
Sirzechs' expression softened with regret. "I wish I could, Lucien. But aside from quick training sessions or the occasional review, I just don't have the time." He sighed heavily. "If I'm not dealing with hard-headed devils, I'm drowning under mountains of paperwork. And every time I try to escape, your mother drags me back into my office."
Grayfia crossed her arms and gave him a pointed look. "Because you never finish it."
Lucien chuckled, then smirked. "About that… what if I told you there's a way to finish all your work in record time? That way, you'd have more time to do what you actually want."
The air went still.
In the next instant, the two most powerful devils in the Underworld were standing right in front of him—Sirzechs and Ajuka—so fast it was as if they had teleported. Even Grayfia and Lenoa looked intrigued.
Two powerful hands clamped down on Lucien's shoulders. He looked up to see his father and uncle staring at him with unnervingly eager smiles.
"Son, please," Sirzechs said, voice trembling with desperation. "Tell me this secret."
"Yes, enlighten us," Ajuka added. "Even I haven't found a way to avoid the endless paperwork cycle!" The Beelzebub of Innovation looked almost… haunted.
Lucien sweatdropped. "I'll tell you—but you both owe me a favor. And, Dad… you have to agree to train me personally."
"Done."
"Agreed."
They both said it immediately, almost in unison.
Lucien took a careful step back, just in case. "Okay then. I was actually saving this for dinner to surprise everyone, but now's a better time."
He snapped his fingers. A crimson magic circle bearing the Gremory crest appeared beneath his feet, rising upright until it stood tall beside him. The runes flared—and then a perfect clone of Lucien stepped out of the circle, smiling.
Under the stunned gazes of everyone present, Lucien handed the clone a pen and a sheet of paper. The clone wrote something quickly, then turned the paper around.
"Hi, I'm Clone #1."
The room fell silent.
"Demonstration complete," the clone said casually. "Good luck with the paperwork, Boss. Oh—and bye, Mom and Dad."
Then it dispelled in a gentle shimmer of crimson light.
Grayfia blinked. "Lucien… what was that?"
"That, Mother," Lucien said proudly, "was a spell I created. I call it the Clone Spell. It allows the user to create one or more copies of themselves. The user's mana or demonic power is evenly divided among the originals and the clones—one clone gets half your power, two clones each get a third, and so on. When the clones are dispersed, all their experiences and remaining power return to the original."
Sirzechs and Ajuka both looked like they'd just glimpsed Heaven.
Grayfia, still processing, asked slowly, "You made that spell yourself?"
Lucien nodded. "Well, Mom, you always told me that devil magic is limited only by imagination and power. As long as we can clearly picture it and fuel it properly, anything's possible. So… I created this." He grinned. "That means Dad and Uncle Ajuka can—"
Ajuka cut him off, his voice filled with almost childlike excitement. "We can use clones to handle meetings, paperwork, mundane duties—everything! Do you realize how much time this saves?"
Sirzechs' eyes shone with unholy joy. "YES! I can finally be free from paperwork!"
Lucien opened his mouth to explain more—but froze as he saw everyone in the room casting the clone spell immediately, perfectly replicating it. Dozens of red circles lit up around them, and in seconds, the clones began vanishing into portals toward offices and laboratories.
"How—how did you all do it so fast? I didn't even explain the formula!" Lucien asked, utterly stunned.
Sirzechs smirked. "Don't forget who you're talking to, son. Everyone here is among the most skilled magicians in devilkind. Once we see a spell, replicating it is easy."
Lucien sighed inwardly.'He's not wrong… with these eyes of mine, I could probably recreate any move from my past life's anime too.'
As the excitement settled and Ajuka's clone teleported off to his office, Sirzechs turned to leave—but Lucien stopped him.
"Wait, Dad. Can I use that favor now?"
Sirzechs turned back, curious. "Of course, son. What do you want?"
Everyone looked over, interested to see what Lucien would ask of the Crimson Lucifer's heir.
Lucien took a deep breath. "Aside from hand-to-hand combat, I also want to become a swordsman."
Sirzechs nodded immediately. "That's fine. I'll ask Souji to begin training you."
Lucien smiled—but then added, "That's great, but… I was actually going to ask for Gram to be my sword. You know, every great swordsman needs a great weapon."
The room fell utterly silent.
"Lucien," Grayfia said slowly, her tone sharpening, "you know Gram isn't just a sword. It's the strongest Demon Sword ever created. It has a will of its own and drains the life force of anyone it rejects."
Lucien met her eyes fearlessly. "I know, Mom. But if I can prove myself worthy, then I should be able to tame it. If a Super Devil can't do it, then no one can."
Sirzechs hesitated, torn between pride and fear. "Lucien… I know I promised to grant your request, but that sword could kill you. So here's my condition: complete your sword training with Souji. If he says you're ready, I'll let you try to tame Gram. Only then, if you succeed, will it be yours."
Lucien smiled and extended his hand. "Deal."
He hugged his father tightly, catching him off guard—but Sirzechs smiled and returned the embrace.
"Don't thank me yet, Lucien," he said with a laugh. "Souji's training is brutal."
Lucien grinned. "Then I'm ready for a challenge."
Grayfia clapped her hands and walked toward them, a faint smile breaking her usual composure. "Alright, that's enough excitement for one day. Let's go home."
After saying their goodbyes, the Gremory family vanished in a swirl of crimson light—teleporting through a shining magic circle bearing their crest.
