After having my injuries healed from my fight with the Griffith, I start limping home. It seems healing magic can only handle the worst of the damage, or at least that's all the medic was willing to do for me. Either way, I'm currently a mess.
"I think you're going to have to take this one. Your Mom might actually kill me if I'm the one to walk in the door."
"Okay." The kid says as he takes over our body.
Again I'm fallen back behind our eyes.
"So, what are you going to say to Carroll?" I ask as I get comfortable.
"I don't know, probably nothing."
"The power of silence, good move. But you need to say something, your Mom isn't going to just let you walk back to your room in your condition. Only use silence when you don't know what to say."
"Got it!" He replies, enthusiastically. I feel like he's already changed so much in the last couple days.
"Nick! what happened to you, Sweetie?"
"We fought a Griffith, but everything's okay now."
"What?!" Carroll shrieks.
"I guess I should have clarified when I said you needed to say something." I mumble to myself.
"It's okay, Mom. We beat it and I'm all healed up already." Josh beams at his mother. I can tell he's really happy just by watching the anger fall from his mother's face.
"A-alright, but I don't want to you going outside the gates anymore, it's too dangerous." Carroll says as she looks to the side.
"No! I need to go outside to get stronger!"
