Apostle V.

MY DEAREST,

You my friend, my lovely friend, I have missed you during the times of war. If you had not left, but believe me when I dare say it, I wish for your non-return. For the ashes that sift between the boots, and the rotting scent of children and women. I hope it be, where you may be headed or settled, that life has blessed you well. Shall I speak of your sister, it seems she has begun to get better, medical supplies have been quite limited recently. I know she'll get there, believe me, I am working towards my best here. I feel the crushing weight of the lands near our beautiful sea, you would be tarnished to see how it is now. From what some letters have gathered, the king is placing his trust in the will of science, he has given up on the Lull. If this already brings disheartened and feeble thoughts, then I recommend no longer that you read the words I have placed before you. His majesty has made a deal with them, I know the cursed fate that we may be led to, but I can not abandon my kingdom. I can support your decisions to the best of my wishes, but in the end, I worry that in a way you were more right. If there is even one thing you can do for me, our kingdom, and your family, search it out, and stop the roots that bind the throat of the king. As one must say, Burn thine shadows, soul, heart, and mind, the flesh is thy vessel and word is my core. Flourish my dear ********, conquer the sun, and achieve the cup of infinity.

Your dearest and cursed friend,

D'Raven Faust V
