Christopher Moore hung up the phone and returned to the living room, poured himself a glass of water and drank it. The room seemed calm, but often calmness is just a façade before a storm.
Cecilia smiled as she sipped her wine, crossing her legs seductively.
"Mr. Moore, aren't you eating? This wine is really good, let me toast with you!" Saying this, Cecilia picked up Christopher's glass, which she had already spiked, and walked gracefully over to him.
"Sure!" Christopher didn't look at Cecilia, as a pungent smell confronted him, he instinctively took a step back, but he also took the glass of wine and downed it in one gulp, his slender neck tilted up, the crimson liquid disappearing instantly.
