"Ruby Mercer, how's it going?" Oakes, wearing a flashy pink and white striped suit, walked over and sat down in front of Ruby Mercer.
"Next, I want to sign a contract with Hardy Mercer. As for the online stuff, I don't want to bother with it. Can't even find the person." Ruby Mercer said defiantly.
She wondered who had such a twisted sense of humor. She wanted to find that person, daring to step on her bottom line.
Oakes exclaimed, "What? Why do you want to sign a contract with Hardy Mercer? You can't seriously believe he'll actually become a father to you, right? Or are you still holding onto some semblance of family affection?"
"No way, but, you know, if you don't enter the tiger's den, you won't get the tiger's cub. I can't just sit back and let things happen; I need to find a chance to get inside."
Ruby Mercer propped her face up with one hand while slowly stirring the coffee on the table with the other.
