Rune panicked internally, bu5 after a few moments of being engulfed by the magical flame, he found that it was not hot. Just like when he had fought with it, the fire seemed to only burn what it wanted to. It was like it had a mind of its own.
Rune did not know what this new power was. It felt like it originated from Miriam's transplanted eyes, but the power itself was very close to when he had fused with Raya.
None of that mattered at the moment, though. No, there was something much more important on Rune's mind.
'The paralysis is clearing...!'
Some how, some way, the fire seemed to be purifying his body. Sensation graduly began to return to his body, and at a fast pace at that.
It started with the extremities. A small wiggle from his fingers and toes. Then, before he knew, Rune found himself himself up off the ground.
