Oliver Wright received an invitation.
It was for Alvin Smith's fiftieth birthday celebration.
Holding the invitation, Oliver Wright amiably said to Amelia Wright, "Amelia, come with me this afternoon to attend your Uncle Smith's birthday banquet."
Amelia looked hesitant: "I'm already estranged from the Wright family. Going with you might not be appropriate."
Hearing the word 'estranged' gave Oliver a headache.
But he suppressed his impatience and maintained a calm demeanor: "There's nothing inappropriate about it. They are elders who watched you grow up. Marsh Smith specifically mentioned for you to attend. Perhaps he hasn't seen you in a long time."
Amelia reluctantly agreed: "Alright, I'll go."
Though it was the opportunity she'd been waiting for, Oliver still had to plead with her to go.
