Amelia replied harshly, "If you don't want to lock up my corpse, then let me go."
Godfery squinted, his eyes flashing dangerously and bloodthirsty, "Does Amelia want to leave me that badly? Who do you want to find? Elijah?"
Amelia did not answer, just repeated, "Let me go."
As she spoke, the small knife pressed slightly harder into her heart, and a bit of fresh blood seeped through her white nightgown, like a red plum blossom blooming in the snow.
