On the second day, William Don called Elise Don to come home for dinner.
She knew dinner was just a guise; she hadn't been to work for almost half a month, and her dad wanted to give her a lecture.
Elise Don didn't ask Maxwell King to drive the minivan to take her there, instead claiming that William Don's driver was picking her up. Unable to refuse, Maxwell King drove behind Old Huang's car, all the way to Graceview Mansion.
Elise Don asked the bodyguards to wait in the ground floor lobby while she went upstairs alone.
It was another day for Luna to showcase her cooking skills. She had prepared the base for spicy hot pot and handmade beef and shrimp balls. Seeing Elise Don enter alone, she asked,
"Why didn't your husband come? I made a lot of food he likes."
Elise Don lowered her eyes and went to change shoes.
"He's busy, said he couldn't make it."
William Don heard the commotion and came out of the study, "It's Saturday today, isn't anyone resting?"
