At the tail end of the divorce saga, William Don embarked on a trip to Switzerland.
He was accompanied by Kenneth Doyle and his wife, with Elise Don and Oliver Bloom seeing them off at the airport.
The Doyle family brought along their grandson and two caregivers, plus a heap of luggage and a wheelchair, which needed several trips from the crew to get settled on the private plane.
Through the glass partition, Elise Don could see the body of the Gulfstream G550, painted with red stripes, and she marveled at the luxury of this flight. The Doyle family's son was truly filial.
Then she heard Mrs. Doyle thanking Oliver Bloom, saying, "Mr. Perry, thank you for arranging everything, or else with our old and young, going out would have been such a mess."
Oliver Bloom nodded slightly and smiled, "It's no trouble."
William Don, an old friend of the Doyle family for decades, joked with Mrs. Doyle, "You should be thanking me, you're riding on my coattail."
