William Don raised his glass, and Nathan Perry naturally couldn't refuse. The two, seated next to each other, clinked glasses solidly and drank it all.
William Don then advised Elise Don, saying, "After the wedding, you'll be part of the Perry family as well as the Don family. So many eyes are watching. Lily, you can't act recklessly anymore. You need to live well with Oliver Bloom..."
"Dad..."
Perhaps the strong liquor cut deep into his emotions, William Don drank another glass himself and turned his head, grasping Oliver Bloom's hand all of a sudden.
Oliver Bloom returned his gaze with an open and sincere look.
William Don said, "Lily hasn't had a mother since she was young. I didn't know how to raise her, and only spoiled her till she became selfish and unreasonable. Oliver Bloom, you have to bear with her."
Oliver Bloom became solemn and after a moment's pause, he said, "I will, Uncle."
Elise Don's eyes grew warm, tears almost spilling out.
